Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in the city of Chula Vista, San Diego County, California, and reside here today. I am of Italian and French-Canadian descent. My parents are from Rochester, New York, and moved to San Diego in 1954.

Both of my paternal grandparents are Italian, born in Villavallelonga, a commune in the province of L'Aquila, Italy. They immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900s, settling in Rochester, N.Y.

My maternal grandmother is French, born in Smith Falls, Ontario, Canada. Roots originate from an unknown region of France, settling in Quebec, Canada, during the 1700s, and still researching my maternal grandfather's heritage.

I am a nature enthusiast, enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and visiting historical places. Genealogy has always been a keen interest of mine. I spend a lot of time building my family tree, and helping others with theirs.

On occasions, I visit cemeteries to photograph headstones and create new memorials. When I first began this task, I intended on taking only "a few" photos, but proud that I've greatly exceeded that. Over the years, I've also participated in transcribing/indexing family records you may find on several genealogy websites.

At times I get behind or ahead of myself and find that I've duplicated memorials and/or made typographical errors. I would surely appreciate a reminder if you happen to spot any duplicates or incorrect information I have entered.

When submitting revisions, please use the memorial's "EDIT" tab as much as possible. This feature is very convenient - plus F-A-G maintains all editing records.

I will gladly transfer management of a memorial per your request.

You have permission to copy my F-A-G photos for use in your own projects.

I enjoy chatting with F-A-G members, and I thank everyone for being so very kind and helpful. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Eliza

RE: Harry Walters
Hi Eliza,

There is a book out called "The last of the wild west cowgirls" by Kay Turnbaugh.

It is about the life of Goldie Griffith Cameron.
and she was married to Hiram Sterling AKA Harry Walters (his stage name). This book tells all about Harry as well.

Goldie was the daughter of my great grand mothers, sister Allie Crank Griffith Crites.

Goldie and her mother are buried together in Boulder, CO.

I have added the findagrave info below on Goldie.

RE: Harry Walters
Thank you Eliza,

I am about positive it is the same in one person, the birthdate and death date are the same, and Hiram Sterling aka (Harry Walters) died in Bonita.

I dont find anywhere in Bonita, a Hiram Sterling. He must have kept his stage name since that's the name he used when he rode in Buffalo Bill's traveling tent shows and other rodeo shows as well.

He was married to Goldie Griffith Cameron in May 1913 and they had a son Russell Sterling.

I guess I will have to see if I can find his death certificate.

Thanks again!!

RE: Margaret Parsons
Thank you for the lead, but I don't think she's any relation. I checked my files and could not find any Margaret Parsons that came anywhere close to those dates. Thanks again for your help.
