Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in the city of Chula Vista, San Diego County, California, and reside here today. I am of Italian and French-Canadian descent. My parents are both from Rochester, New York, and moved to San Diego in 1954.

Both of my paternal grandparents are Italian, born in Villavallelonga, a commune in the province of L'Aquila, Italy. They immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900s, settling in Rochester, N.Y.

My French maternal grandmother was born in Smith Falls, Ontario, Canada. Roots originate from an unknown region of France, settling in Quebec, Canada, during the 1700s. I do not know much about my maternal grandfather, only that he was born in Rochester and died of alcoholism.

I am a nature enthusiast, enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and visiting historical places. Genealogy has always been a keen interest of mine. I spend a lot of time building my family tree, and helping others with theirs.

On occasions, I visit cemeteries to photograph headstones and create new memorials. When I first began this task, I intended to take "just a few" photos, but now proud to say I've greatly exceeded that limit. For many years, I've also assisted with transcribing/indexing records you may find on several genealogy websites.

At times I get ahead of myself and find my own work duplicated - especially when creating memorials. Parallel to that come typographical errors. I would surely appreciate a reminder if you happen to spot anything incorrect that I have entered.

When submitting revisions, please use the memorial's "EDIT" tab as much as possible. This feature is very convenient - plus F-A-G maintains all editing records.

I will gladly transfer management of a memorial per your request.

You have permission to copy my F-A-G photos for use in your own projects.

Thank you for the friendly support, informative chats, and communications effort from everyone using F-A-G. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Eliza

RE: Margaret Parsons
Thank you for the lead, but I don't think she's any relation. I checked my files and could not find any Margaret Parsons that came anywhere close to those dates. Thanks again for your help.

Wow, thank you. My dad was tickled pink about the memorial. His uncle is buried fairly close to my mother who is at Point Loma. We can visit them both now. :D

Transfer of 102634495
Eliza,

Thank you so much for starting a memorial for my great uncle Earl Soapes #102634495.

Would you transfer him to me so I can "dress him up" for my dad's sake.

Duplicates
Try as I might not to do so, I, myself, have inadvertently created duplicates. It happens sometimes. The problem that I see is that Find A Grave doesn't reuse the memorial number and then brags about their 'score'.

There are so many duplicates and vacated spots that the total is flawed and meaningless

Oh well, such is life.

Great. If she is close (or sort of close, family) I will transfer my memorial to you so that you can extract as much information from my page as possible and then you can close one of the pages. Otherwise, we can do just the opposite. She is family to me, but not so very close. I have done considerable research on her Lefurgey family for my family tree from Prince Edward Island.. I had searched for her for years, before finding her in Bonita / Chula Vista / San Diego. I knew that her daughter was in Chula Vista, so it isn't such a great surprise. Just let me know what your wishes are.

Thanks
