Beatitudes of a Family Genealogist
Blessed are the great-grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, For they tell the story of their time.
Blessed are all grandfathers who filed every legal document, For this provides proof.
Blessed are grandmothers who preserved family Bibles and diaries, For this is our heritage.
Blessed are fathers who elect officials that answer letters of inquiry, For--some--they are the only link to the past.
Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, For one of her children will surely remember.
Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, For them we owe the family history.
Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, For theirs is a labour of love.
Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."

I have a hope beyond the grave – that someone on earth might remember me.

It appears that my Bowmans have been compromised due to addresses or latitudes and longitudes, I'm very confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Memorial # 142319477, Mary Matilda "Mollie" Guthrie Bolles, is my great-grandma. I noticed you posted a flower that says "Rest in peace cousin". If you and my great-grandma are cousins, then that would make us cousins, very distant cousins. I'm curious how you are related to her. I asked my dad if he knew who you were, but he wasn't sure. He said the Bowman last name sounded familiar. Mollie was my Dad's grandma, and his mom's mom.
Looking forward to your response.

Thank you for your vote of confidence to accept the edits for the memorial of Betty Fisher #88462885
And thanks for sharing the Beatitudes of a Family Genealogist; it is GREAT!
I would be pleased if you would go to my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.
I've been fascinated by the materials and photos you have gathered. I am the granddaughter of Alma Mary Lueckenbach, sister of Herman, and would love to exchange any info. I also have all of my grandma's photos...
|TNGirls||Poem - Beatitudes of a Family Genealogist|
Thank you for posting this poem on your profile! Today as I read it, I thought, "How true!" How many times have I silently thanked that relative from the past tuck away a shoebox of old obits, scraps of newspapers, and even scribbled notes almost unreadable. That one little bit of paper has made the difference in finding a long-lost uncle or aunt or some wondering soul in my family history. May I include it (with credit to you and the genealogy society) in my family history narrative journal?

Thank you for the transfer of Lunda Moser. Would you also please transfer Eliza Moser Bowman, #32787254, to me. She was my great, great, great-grandmother through her daughter, Myra Ellen Bowman Starnes.
Thank you for your consideration of this transfer.

Would you please transfer management of Lunda Mosers memorial to me. She was my great, great, great-grandmother's niece and she was well known to my family and remembered by my grandmother.
Thank you for considering my request.

|Michael Hernandez||re: Missie Wahlgren Find A Grave Memorial# 141808575|
I'm interested in contacting family of Mrs. Wahlgren. I'm assembling a data base of men who served with the 7th Bomb Group in India during WW2. My grandfather served with that unit in 1944-45. Mr. Warren Wahlgren was a B-24 bomber pilot with the group and I'd very much like to gather some info about his service. I'd use the gathered info to put together an online memorial for him, placed within my website, www.dainthecbi.com.
I hope you can help me locate anyone who might have paperwork and/or photos that once belonged to Mr. Wahlgren.
I look forward to hearing from you.
