2016

I will be happy to add information and links to memorials that I manage.

Please use the EDIT tab on each memorial. I can usually get updates done within a day or two.

If your updates are taking longer to appear, then we are probably traveling and I will be getting to additions/corrections just as soon as I have internet access.

If we are on a trip, we could be out of touch from the internet for as much as 2 weeks at a time.

A transfer request must include your relationship to the individual, and a little extra identifying information. This is just to help prevent any potential mix-ups.

Please feel free to use my photos in your on-line family tree. It would be much appreciated if you would give credit to Find A Grave as your source for the photo.

Thanks ahead of time for your help and contributions. They are much appreciated!

RE: Isabella's Obit
The obituary I found is probably about one full column long. It goes into a lot of detail including what Isabella's favorite flower was. One correction: I believe her actual death date was Dec. 28th, which is the date in California Death Index for her death certificate (state file #29242). Glad you had the death date for William...I can take that off my search list. Cheers, JDKille.

Warren
Yes, this will be an interesting tour. We met with him the other day, but at his time he his having people coming in day after day for various reasons regarding his health. So he did agree to even have lunch over at the Hearst visitors center after the tour, he said that he's never been over there nor the castle. The castle tour has been around since 1958, oh well. He did tell me that day that his father never talked much with him about family after his mother passed away, but this was 1927 when she died. So I don't know what he knows at this time, we'll find out more later. I did look up his line that goes back in Connecticut, and apparently it goes way back. More later.

Warren's Family
Hi Cashie
Just to let you know, I meet a guy named who is the son of William and Lily Warren, he is 92 and has a very sharp mind, he said he was born in Cambria on Center St, but the home was torn down and it was built in 1860. He said that he now has a ranch near Cayucos since 1953, about a 1000 acres, he's a real cowboy too. How about that. He would love to give my wife and I a tour of where he's family lived up San Simeon Creek. So, we said yes for next week. His name is Eldon Warren

RE: Thanks!
Thanks very much for the reply on my e-mail to you on my Shaug ancestors, I appreciate your time and assistance... I will try to see if I can get a hold of someone there at Cambria Cemetery at some point to see if we might be able to figure out who is in the unknown grave... I have been trying to figure out for a long time now where Dr. Charles W. Shaug is buried, he died on Dec. 23, 1871 in Santa Maria, but there are no records of him being buried there, or anywhere in Santa Barbara county, though I read where many graves from 1870's were lost, or paved over in Santa Maria, that's why I thought this unknown grave might actually be him as all my other grandfathers are there in same row... well, anyway, as I mentioned before, if you would like any other info. on what I know about Shaug's, please let me know, I will try to help out in what I know... thanks again!
Best Regards,
Mike Shaug 5-10-16

Bingham
Thanks Cashie, it was interesting enough to find that he was a West Point Grad. All I did was, typing his name, and a few web sites popped up. Plus it was nice that he had this nice attractive headstone put up. I told my wife and I need to tell Terry Chaffee about him, for this Thomas Bingham may have been at these Posts or Forts, when their ancestors came by in those years. So, thanks for writing this up, it sounds good to me.

Hi Cashie, I been working on this guy, Thomas Bingham. And I found some interesting things about him. But, here I want to add more info. I did more research as to where is Dona Ana and Cebolleta are. This is what you would find, Dona Ana is a County of New Mexico so Thomas was assigned to Fort Thorn which was along the Rio Grande, then up to Cebolleta or Fort Wingate which is west of then Post Albuquerque. Then on to Fort Graham Texas for Scouting.

Thanks

Werner
