I am slowly working on photographing Ascension Cemetery because it is closest to my home. I am not related to most of those buried there. I consider it my contribution to the find-a-grave website as a return favor for those who have photographed entire cemeteries far away, greatly helping my own personal family research.
I've been side-tracked lately with photographing Loma Vista in Fullerton. Done with photographing the Northeast, Cypress, East, Rose and Grandview Lawns in the older part of the cemetery. Currently working on the Evergreen Lawn. Mostly what I consider "mass production" by sweeping the stones, taking a picture and posting memorials just to get the names out there.
Gane Have sent you some lengthy text on William Stanley Gane. If you'd like, you may transfer a grave to me to add the text. (I can then immediately see how it proofs visually, and correct my errors, so I don't ave to ask yu to do so later).
If you want the grave back when I'm done, you can add something like "Temporary transfer from Contributor #46527276 (Lesa Pfommer)" so I know how to transfer it back to you. Just add it to his bio so I and others can see it.
Julia in Texas--PS Thanks for doing some of the California cemeteries, as so many there are not photographed. It's a big problem when I do any family in California, as the California Vital Records can be poor as well
PSS If you want me to have all your Ganes, that's fine. Maybe there's a family member doing them in the Midwest or Idaho that I will encounter while doing my research, to transfer them too. The Quaker/Farnsworth end of their in-laws has had people working on them in the last 10 years. Do not know if their interest is current.
Alvira & Edwin Coleman, Beechwood Cemetery, Forest They are located in Section A-21, Lot 12, N 1/2. You can add that to your request. However, I will be in the area some time over the next week or ten days and can get the pictures for you. Keep your requests posted just in case I don't get there. I have another request in Beechwood Cemetery as well.
Karl, Kathryn Olmsted Hi Lesa - Thanks for the edits you suggested for Karl Olmsted and Kathryn Olmsted. Karl Olmsted was my uncle by marriage (and the father of my first cousin). How did you get the information for his father and mother? I'm really glad to see him hooked up with his mom and dad in Ohio.
Theda Spring Good morning - I have made the changes that you have requested regarding the burial place of my Aunt Theda and her husband. I am related to Theda as my paternal grandmother Ethel A Spring is her sister - I really do appreciate you letting me know where they are now. Much thanks for the information. Have a grand day.
