Mary Francis Conley
FYI. You have a Mary Frances associated to Ephraim D Conley. In the 1870 census the only child born in 1854 is Frank Conley. He is clearly listed as a male. The is not census info of a daughter born in 1853.

Josiah Moose
Hi it's me again,
Josiah lived in Somerset Co Penn & emigrated to Marshall Co Virginia now West Virginia. 1840 census Josiah age 27 hr was still in Somerset with 2 sons & 1 daughter. By the time of the 1850 census he & his wife Veronica [ age 37 ] werr in Fayette Co. Penn with 7 children. He is listed as Josiah Moose. Thanks to Sherry Sawchak for locating this elusive man in 1850
Josiah is believed to be of German decent. A family with this name arrived in Philadelphia on 9-16-1751 but 2 of the 4 sons went to North Carolina , 1 to New York State & the 4th, who remained in Penn.,appears not to have had any male heirs.
A jacob Musseng arrived in Philadelphia 9-27-1752 & settled near Allentown, Penn. 23 sons Jacob & David
But where Josiah was from & who his parents were we do not know.
He married young just 20 when his 1st son was born. He may have has a sizable inheritance because he just 22 years old when in 1836 he purchased 160 acres of land in Somerset Co for $1,500.00. He sold it in 1839 for $2,000.00
Later he owned lane in Marshall Co Virginia now West Virginia, where he appears to have been a Farmer of substantial means
He was married 2 times 1st.W: Veronica " Fanny " ___ by whom he had at least 7 children,
no more info on Veronica.
2nd.W: Harriet Bungard daughter of a prominent Fayette Co. Penn. family. Born 9-3-1824 Pa. 10-4-1895 Pa. Daughter of: Elizabeth Straus & Daniel Bungard.
Josiah sold 216 acre plot in Fayette Co but no record of the purchase has been found. However, the 1850 census shows the value of the real estate next to Veronica rather than Josiah, was it prehaps land she inherited.
Josiah and Harriet had 2 sons
Josiah - Veronica & Harriet were all members of the Good Hope LUtheran Church in Salt Lick Township, Fayette Co Penn
4 children born to Josiah & Veronica were christend in the church.
Josiah not located in these records. Tha Migration patterns of most of the Goos Hope families was from Philadephia, Lancaster, Frederick Co. MD, York & Bedford, then Somerset into Fayette Co The orginial name of the church was Gute Hoffnung, the German for Good Hope
Josiah died at age 45 & is buried at Clouson Cen
His son Isacc was adminstrator of Josiah's estate which is recorded in the Marshall Co. courthouse in Moundsville.

I've transferred the memorial to you along with that of his wife. I noticed that you created a duplicate that you now may want to delete for her.
