Please disregard my earlier comment. It appears that the family of Lieutenant John Beard Frazier created a cemetery plot for him at Madison County, Indiana (Find A Grave #71627958). Your memorial is actually in Tennessee where he died. He has two grave sites. I will send you information on his family shortly. Sorry about the confusion.

Hi Kurt, You have created a memorial for Lieutenant John B. Frazier. The problem is that this is a duplicate memorial to Find A Grave #71627958. The original memorial, which has quite a bit of information, was created first (dated 2011) and has a photo of his headstone. Please contact the memorial manager for Find A Grave #71627958 and make arrangements to send him/her your duplicate memorial. This will insure that no data will be lost. I have also included information about his father, mother and siblings from Fayette County,Indiana. Thank you,
Gary W. Stanford

Okay, thank you. I have an old cabinet card photo from the late 1800's that says Augusta Fry, and I believe it to be Augusta Fry Tonkin. I was hoping to verify it was her photo, before I place it on the memorial. I appreciate your getting back to me so quickly.

I couldn't remember if I had already asked you about this. Are you related to Augusta Fry Tonkin?

Actually, I could be wrong about the age 32 on the tombstone; the person who has her memorial thinks it says age 37. In looking closely, it looks like 35 or 39. Take a look and see what you think.

I see that you did find Edgar Ellis's grave at Graceland Cemetery. I think I just found his wife Mary Jane Childers Ellis at Wamsley Cemetery, Memorial 117729553. She is buried with an infant, so this is likely the cause of her death. Very old ornate stone, but it is broken over. I believe she was born in 1855 instead of 1844 as she was 32 at time of death, according to tombstone.
|Blytha & Donald Ellis||RE: Maude May (Ellis) Hartford|
Good work! Yes, I do see a faint "1" in front of the "6" for Thomas, and guess I didn't pay attention to where it gives his birth month and year. And, since you said the 3rd wife was Mina Redd, I now see that Edgar's neighbor in the 1900 census was Benjamin Redd with 2 adult children, and the next neighbor is a young couple Lewis Redd and wife and toddler. So, I guess Edgar married a neighbor (which often happened in those days). Thank you for all the information!
|Blytha & Donald Ellis||Maude May (Ellis) Hartford|
Thank you for the information on the mother of Maude May (Ellis) Hartford, and the insight into "M" being the 3rd wife, which I suspected. I have corrected the bio on Maude. Since Maude's mother died in 1887, and Edgar did not remarry until 1900, who was the 6-year-old boy named Thomas in the 1900 census? I believe he is shown with the last name of Hartford, but I suspect he was a step-child (child of M from a previous marriage). What do you think?
