Bio and Links
Bio Photo My Name is Ronald A. Sykes, Sr, and have been working on my family History for over 40 years.

Any additional information, adding bio's, changing .or adding names, dates and location can be done, without asking me, by hitting the edit button.

With the new system of FaG, I OK the links, and changes, without question. However, this also means, I may or may not have linked or corrected memorials.

I am more than happy to any correct a problem, or link family members. As far as Transfer goes, please look at the rules set down by Find a Grave, before asking. I will take a look on a case to case basis, but normally follow those rules. Demands from, or rude people are always ignored. If you would like credit for something added, either put it in the bio section, or let me know and I will add it for you.

I normally make all requests within 24 hours. If not, don't worry, I will get to it. Sometimes, I take a day off, too.

AGAIN. I follow the rules of Find A Grave dealing with Transfers. I will make an exception on a case to case bases. However, those who are rude, or feel they have some kind of right, need not request.

You My permission to use any of my Headstone photo, for your personal use.

Please contact me regarding a potential burial in the West Greenwood Cemetery. You've apparently changed your email address since last I wrote. Thanks in advance. Marge Womach at Harrington

obits for find a grave?
I have some obituaries for burials in Beaver Creek Cemetery. Would you like me to email them to you or how should I handle this. Maybe 25 or 30 obits.

RE: Calvin Brown Gravestone
Thanks, Ronald. I know it's not very good weather this time of year in the PNW. I have used some photo enhancing software to try and get better contrast on the photo. I have been able to determine that there are 3 names on the gravestone. Eva, who was Calvin Brown's second wife, Calvin, of course, and down below, Betty, his first wife. It looks like the info that is with the names are the birth and death years only. There appear to be enough records to corroborate the correct years, with the exception of Betty, where no year of death has been found in records. I will have to assume the year on the gravestone matches what the creator of her memorial listed, which was 1900. I have submitted a photo request for this gravestone, so perhaps someone will provide a picture when the weather gets better later this year.

Calvin Brown Gravestone
Hi Ronald,
Ref the following Find A Grave memorial...

The information inscribed on the gravestone is unreadable due to the brightness and lack of contrast when the picture was taken. Are you in a position to retake this photo so we can read what is on it?

You are pretty fast ~ especially for a guy who has so many memorials! Thanks for linking Perry to his wife.

RE: James L. Sowers # 19473905
Hi! I couldn't help noticing that you have a couple of wrong photos' on this persons memorial. James 'Jim' L Sowers died in 2007, buried in Newport, Pend Oreille County, Washington, USA. You accidentally have two Hans Bohnhof stone photo's on this memorial. Just thought you might want to take it off?! Sincerely, Linda

Clifford L. Whitlock
Hi, I'm looking for more information on this man. He is the father of my great-grandmother. However, she doesn't know much about him, and my search on Ancestry is proving difficult at this point. On the page you've created you have his mother, Nora, which I found on ancestry. I also found her husband, Frank Monk, but I don't think that he is the father of Clifford, seeing as how his last name is different. Do you happen to have any further information on any of these people that could help me?

Lewis Thurber
Dear Mr. Sykes: I am interested in any information you can give me about Lewis Thurber. I live in Conneaut, OH, where he is buried, and am curious as to whether he died during the Civil War.
I am doing a presentation for our public library on the City Cemetery, and would like to include his stone in the presentation.
Thank you so much for your consideration! Mary Lardi,
