I have seen the Find a Grave website during my online travels looking for family members. However one member named Robin Lee touched me deeply when she uploaded a picture of my mother's grave. My mother died very young and was in TN, I am in So. FL. I don't go north that often and it seems each time I have been to my mother's grave I wasn't able to take a picture, last time it was pouring down rain and I was on my way to my father's service and wouldn't be able to go back to this cemetery. So finding the picture here meant a lot to me. It brought tears to my eyes and still does when I look at it and can see it clearly. I hope I can help others find their family members.|
The family names that I am researching are Starrett / Clark / Kagley (my father's family) and Crisp / Borden / Malcolm (my mother's family). Any help on this is always appreciated.
I was given a bulk transfer of about 1500 or so memorials that are located in and around Maryville, TN. I have been transferring these memorials as a request comes in. If you see your family members and there are more than 5 of them it is easier for me to do the transfers if you create a virtual cemetery on your profile using DebStarrett as the name. When you go through and find your family members please add them to this virtual cemetery. Then email me that you have them in this cemetery and I will make the transfers as long as they are not relatives of mine (if there is a husband/wife and you are related to one and I am related to the other keep in mind I will only transfer the one you are related to). Doing transfers of these memorials this way has worked out well and I have transferred a lot of these memorials to family members this way. When you email me please tell me your closest relationship to one of the group (GGG Grandfather for instance) as I will only make these transfers to family members.
As a rule I will not publish any news articles or obits on my memorials due to copyright. The only time that I will do this is on a direct family member of mine.
If there are changes that need to be made on any memorial that I have posted please let me know. I do not have a problem with transferring memorials to active family members of the findagrave website. I am not a "collector" of people. I am doing this so that hopefully relatives will be able to find loved ones and be able to add the information on their family trees. I also do not have a problem with someone using the headstone pictures that I have taken for their personal files.
I also want to let people know if you just happened across this site, if there is a memorial for an immediate family member and you do not want it on here, it is the policy of the web site to remove it. All you have to do is ask. Ask the person that put it up or go right to an admin and ask. Either way it will be removed.

|Dan & Karen Read||Hifnor bio|
I just realized that I didn't give any info regarding the bio I sent for Kearney Hifner, The information is taken from a University of Kentucky alumni paper I discovered online. "The Kentucky Kernel", October 21, 1927. I have reworded it to avoid copywriter issues, and also because the original was intended for a different audience. I don't feel the need for personal credit.

Just wanted to touch base with you since I am blowing up your edit box. The information comes from the Palm Beach County Genealogical Society"s book of Lake Worth cemetery records. I am going through the listings for section A at the moment, figuring out who is not listed on Find a Grave. I suspect that most of the missing persons have unmarked graves. Most of the ones who are listed have been added by you from photos. I hope you don't mind my sending you edits for the additional info in the book.
|Charles Rice||Baby Boy Rice|
My name is Charles H. Rice. I found the picture you took of my brothers headstone in West Palm Beach, FL. at Lake Worth Memory Gardens. My brother and I were both born Sept. 15, 1966 and were identical and very premature twins. I only weighed 16 oz. and I believe he was a few oz. smaller. Our mother was Imogene S. Rice and father Charles H. Rice. My brother only lived for 36 hours and all I ever knew was what my mother had told me when I was young. I just cant tell you how emotional and special it was to find him especially since he was the brother I never met, only heard about. You know what they say about twins!! Thank you so much Deb, this has made my day and I will be visiting Lake Worth Memory Gardens in the near future to say hello to the smallest angel in heaven, Baby Boy Rice!!

I see you have taken the management of John's entry. He was my grandmother's (Belle's) brother. I'm trying to locate family as we lost track of him a long time ago. If you have any information you can share with me I'd appreciate it. Would really like to have photos etc.. we aren't sure which is him in the one family photo we have.
