Genealogy research should be shared. Anyone who wants my pictures or information is welcome to it. I am grateful to those who unselfishly post their findings and pictures and share with others. |
I also appreciate the team efforts of findagrave members-those who contribute pictures, obituaries, and family links. I don't mind death certificates on my postings. Not only is this site used to perpetuate the memory of loved ones, but it is also used to help others track their ancestors.
The new edit system is great, but members, please check the requests before you blindly hit Accept. I've caught many errors in these edit requests. Please don't hyphenate last names or ask me to do so. Consider how difficult it is to search for an ancestor with a hyphenated last name.
Feel free to browse my American Revolution and Civil War virtual cemeteries, and leave flowers for these soldiers, as well as the Purple Heart recipients.
And, do we really need copyrights on a headstone picture? How ridiculous! We need to leave our egos at the cemetery gates.

This memorial is for R.E. Mills. He was my son's grandfather. The photo of the draft card you added to this memorial is for his father. R.E. never went by anything other than R.E. Mills. It is on all of his death and birth information. Would you kindly remove the picture as it only causes confusion for others. Thank you for your time.

do not live near these cemeteries.... does not sound like they are same cemetery by looking at the name.

You're welcome! It was a delight to see!

I saw your message on another Volunteer's page...your "Profile" photo intrigued me...these lovely young women remind me of how my Maternal Grandmother looked in her youth...thanks for "discovering" (or your relatives?) this beautiful photograph!
Also, thank you for your "philosophy" stated on this page...I agree, whole-hardheartedly about sharing photos and information with others!

|Dot Morris||Pridgeon Cemetery & Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery|
The Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery & The Pridgeon Cemetery seem to have the same graves? I found my Dunlaps, English & most others in both places, yet they show as two different cemeteries even on the satellite map. Were the graves moved from Pridgeon Cemetery to Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery?? Am I really seeing double? Salem United is managed by KSStephens and the records are dated 2010.

Thank you Kathy for all the edits you have done on the family
Agnes Letha Mills is my son's grandmother. Would you be willing to transfer management?
Thank you for your time.
|Lila J Hess||James Henry and Virgie Elizabeth (Smith) Sanders|
While surfing my Ancestry I see that you have the information on the above couple.
James Henry 1883-1975 and Virgie 1894-1988
The were the grandparents of my Daughter-In-Law.
There were nine children in the family
James Clyde 1912-1963 - Virgil Ovid 1913-1984 - Rosie (Porter) 1916-2001 - Robert Wilson 1917-1999 - Vernon 1919-1984 - Mary 1922-2014 - Orene 1925-2010 - JESSE JAMES 1927-1988 (My Daughter-In-Law's father) - and Clifton 1932-?
I notice some are buried in the same Cemetery in Yazoo City, MS as their parents.
Thought you might like to tie them together.
