Findagrave has added a wonderful feature that allows memorial holders to update many requests at a time, but only if done via the Edit tab --- so please try that before leaving information on the profile page! This new feature is a true blessing.|
Thank you for visiting!
My mother, Mary Edith "Meg" Stevens and I, were/are long-time supporters of Findagrave -- a wonderful site to place memorials and do research. She sadly passed away in May of 2013, but her love of genealogy and helping others find their family, lives on.
One of my interest areas is the American Revolution. Please feel free to visit my page on Facebook and assist in the research. https://www.facebook.com/groups/RevWarRsch/.
I also welcome you to follow my weekly blog at GenealogyBank or to follow me on Twitter.
Thank you. I wish you success in your family research.
***** REQUESTS FOR CORRECTIONS *****
If you wish to download one of my tombstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit.
Photographs of individuals absolutely require permission, and if lifted from here without appropriate permission or credit are subject to licensing fees.
Obits under copyright should be summarized, or cannot be posted (many less than 72 years, or longer if a newspaper renewed the copyright.)
REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS
Please follow Findagrave guidelines to be within a few generations and a direct descendant. For older ones, please communicate the reason.
As the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you received a transfer and do not wish to manage it, please transfer back.

|Tuesday Ashley||Find-a-grave Memorial # 3957348, Adolph A Supple|
Thank you for the work you are doing with Find-a-grave! I am working with a co-worker on her family tree. Her great-uncle, Adolph Arthur Supple is buried in Marietta National Cemetery, Section C Site 1269-C.
Ancestry.com from the Marietta, Georgia, Marietta National Cemetery, 1866-2010 database has his name incorrectly spelled as Adolph A Shppll. You provided a photo attached to Find-a-grave Memorial # 3957348, the memorial was transferred by US Veteran's Affairs.
There is a photo of the gravestone attached to the Marietta National Cemetery record, but it is very difficult to read. Is there a possibility that you could provide a rubbing? If not, do you know who might be able to provide one?
Also, is this located in an area of Civil War Veterans? It gave me some option to view those kind of photos on his record.
Any assistance you can provide is appreciated.

|Dolores||Hausmann transfer request|
Please transfer the following memorials for some of the Hausmann family: Peter Hausmann #50417879, Katherine Hausmann #50417836, and Henry Hausmann #89162888. They are found in the Mt Vernon Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Peter and Katherine were the great-grandparents of my mother and Henry was one of their children. I would like to include them in my family files.
I am not sure if the other Hausmann files that you have in the Mt Vernon Cemetery are in my family but I will explore further and contact you again if I would like you to transfer those records also.
Thank you for finding these.

Thank you so much for the transfers of the 4 Nowel (Nowell) family members. Also thank you for your hard work on Find A Grave. It is contributors like you who have made the site what it is.

Thank you so much for transferring this memorial to me. I wish that I knew more about this family and the Trapp family. I can only do more research.
Again Thanks so much,

|Shmilybrandon||John B Moore|
Nancy - I don't see another John Moore in this cemetery. Can you send me link or memorial number of the other John Moore. Thank you
|P. Paschke||Transfers - Fuller|
Thank you for the transfers. I am sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. Thank you for your contributions!
|William May||Bubiers in Florida|
Thank you for the transfers. I'll try to wiki-up a little more info on them and expand the family.
|William May||Sylvester and Ruth Bubier - Evergreen Cem., Ft. Lauderdale|
Thanks for your attention on these memorials. I was trying to determine whether Sylvester's Ruth (nee Harvey) was the same Ruth Harvey I was working on. The dates and other info didn't match, but I saw the Bubiers needed some linking and correction, so I contacted you. I can't believe that someone messed up his headstone application and therefore the Bubier family got a headstone with the wrong date. Well, at least the Internet can be edited.
|Direwolf||Catherine and William Phillips|
Thanks so much for the transfers.

I was looking at my GG Aunts page and saw that you are maintaining it. (B. 1832-Feb. 6, 1918) A copy of her obituary as it appeared in the paper is written out in the description. Did you upload the description or was it someone else? If you wrote it where did you find it and are we related? Her maiden name was Carley and she married Thomas Wright. I realize you probably get questions like this all the time so I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you.
