If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.|
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

|Joan of VA||John Stiffler & Margaret Dishong|
I have made corrections and added the obits to John and Margaret Stiffler's memorial pages.
I appreciate your help, and for adding John's Death Cert on his memorial page.
I,m sure those researching the Stiffler name, will be grateful.
|Julie Nicholson-Turbide||the Kerrs|
Thank you for the great additions to their memorials … I've made the changes. Edits are never an issue as I love to add as much information as possible to memorials! Thanks again and have a blessed Sunday,
|Joan of VA||David Stiffler Piper|
I have linked David to his parents, and added the date of his birth.
Thank you for putting his death certificate on his memorial.
I really appreciate your helping me.
|L K King||Otto Family in Fairview Cemetery|
Hello Michael, First, I totally agree with your views as stated in your profile.
Next, thanks for all of the extra information that is attached to (at least) the memorials of the Otto family members buried in Fairview Cemetery in Altoona, Blair, PA.
With all of the information I was wondering if you are somehow related to this family. I am related (or so I think) I have my third great grandfather and family in Bedford. But with this other line of this family I am having some difficulty making sure who, how and where they belong. If you are related possibly you have some information that would help me. Thanks.

|penni katzmann||Just a Hello|
Haven't been working on my ancestry stuff for quite some time but am trying to pick up where I left off...not so easy. Your name always seems to pop up, as going through my Uncles papers and such, and now here on this site. I was wondering if you were still around and doing any research?
Still hope to make it to the Stone House in Akersville someday, enjoy talking with the owners and seeing all the progress they have done.

Would it be alright to use a photo that you took of Jacob Smiths' [1834-1916] stone to put on my ancestry page? I will certainly give you credit.

|Leona Henderson||Henderson, John M and Eliza A|
While researching the Henderson's in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, I came across this wedding date for John M (# 106588764)and Eliza A HUNTZBERGER (# 123161160)in an excerpt of newspapers. The date is listed as "m. 22nd ult. by Rev. A. Torrance (4-11-1866 RD)"
If that is enough to add to their memorial, it may help family members trying to find important dates.
|Cindy Bowers Boyer||Elizabeth Kramer Thompson|
Thank you for posting the cemetery info for Elizabeth Kramer Thompson, a sister of my gr-grandfather, George Harter Kramer. I had nothing after the 1880 census for Clarion county, PA. Cindy Bowers Boyer

I am planning to be at Remington Cemetery in early July (July2) and will do my best to find Frederick. He was married to one of my Dexter aunts, and I would like that marker image as well, will be happy to share it with you if I can locate it.
More later, and feel free to correspond with me at dexterhistoriani at aol dot com.
