|Steve Hinds||RE: John Wier Memorial, Magnolia Cemetery, Greenwood, SC|
Jim, I was in contact today with Ray Isbel who is a descendant of John Wier. He states that John is, indeed, buried in Magnolia Cemetery as my memorial indicates. There was a change made to my memorial in Magnolia indicating an association with Rock Church where a memorial had been created by a lady named Eliz. I couldn't figure out how the change could be made and Ray told me that Find A Grave will allow her "incorrect" memorial to link with mine since hers was created first and she can make changes, and she did. John Wier's parents are buried at Rock Church and what I entered for them at Magnolia is a cenotaph. I have transferred all 3 to Ray Isbel and he has already entered a lot more data and will deal with Eliz on her incorrect memorial at Rock Church for John Wier. Please contact Ray with any further questions or concerns.

Thanks for adding the photo of Mamie Clem's marker.

Hey Jim, would you please remove the photo of Rocks Presbyterian Church that you posted on the memorial for John Wier. He is actually buried in Magnolia Cemetery and shares a marker with his niece.
Thanks, and Good Hunting to You!

Do you have photos of the graves?
In searching for someone a cemetery in which you have taken many photos came up.
I thought I would let you know that Find A Grave frowns on chalking the grave markers as many of the photos you've posted are chalked.
The FAQ's state "Never apply bleach, ammonia, shaving cream, chalk, flour, baking soda, cornstarch, firm pressure or use anything abrasive. Do not post photos of recently chalked or shaving-creamed headstones."
They offer suggestions on how to take photos of the old stones. Look under "Cemetery Preservation"
in the FAQ's.
I hope this will be helpful to you.

Hi Jim -- the only info I have on William Drayton Cameron is that he was born in Newberry.
No, but I'll do an obit lookup for you, if they are in the index. Give me a day or two.
See if they are in the index:

To Jim R.
After studying family notes sent to me by an older cousin in 1971-1975 and the photos I took at the Old Ebenezer Cemetery in Abbeville County, SC, back in 2008 and 2009, I am now convinced that
Barbara Ann Cynthia Lomax Lomax (Find A Grave# 40966589) and Cynthia A Lomax Keller (Find A Grave# 40965984)
are properly entered and documented in the FindAGrave database. If you made a change to help straighten this out, thank you. I am pleased with what is there now.
