RE: Maximilian Milligan, Jr.
I don't know that person. I suspect my Great Grandfather James Madison Bagwell was from South Carolina but no firm evidence yet.

You are very welcome. Glad to be of service. Do you know anything about the Johnston or Smallwood families? I noticed that several of the graves in that same plot had no memorials or at the least no photos. I have been trying to link them but I am finding one mystery after another. If you could help, it would be appreciated.
My mother was a Bagwell. Her family was mostly from DeKalb County and Cobb County Georgia.

Margaret, thank you for your message about John Armistead Bomar. I apologize for my very slow reply.

I am related to the Bomars at Spartanburg, SC.
I have several John Bomars in my tree, and 3 Armistead Bomars. Can you give me a little more info? Maybe your John Armistead Bomar's parents, siblings, spouse, etc.

I would love to share info & compare notes with you.

Hi Margaret -

She married John Francis Stone and they had four children. They are buried in the Williamston Town Cemetery near three of their children. I have added a large number of family linkages to his Find-A-Grave site (grave #26805572)

This was a second marriage for JFS. He had seven children by his first wife, Emily Caroline Richardson of the Shiloh Community. I have traced most, but not all, of these children and linked them to his Find A Grave memorial.

You are most welcome! It's a beautiful resting place near a large tree in a beautiful cemetary.

Hi Margaret, my cousin , David Carlton Lord went to this cemetery the other day but because of rain in South Carolina, he has to make a return trip at a later date. I'll see what I can find out for you about the twin. These are some of my ancestor connections also. :) Tania

No problem. Camera phone sometimes does what it thinks is 'best' on photos. Should be corrected.

For your photo request at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, please call the cemetery at 864-223-9229 and ask for the grave location. I've found that it works best if you make the call since they may need more information about the person. I have cemetery maps, so if you send me the location in a message on findagrave, I will go out there and take the photo.

I am not related to any McWilliams. I looked up John Gordon McWilliams and Frances Alvin McWilliams on Ancestry. If they're related, it would go back to the 18th century in Ireland or Northern Ireland.
