Hi to all...
I hope my contributions help someone with their search. If any of the information is wrong or you want ownership of the site please let me know. I will gladly transfer ownership so you can add your own information. If you want me to add more information to a loved one or friend, please let me know.
Thank you to all who add a flower or a memorial flag to my family, especially my brother, John W. Sicina.
My family goes way back in the area here in Orange County, NY. I grew up in Arden and Central Valley. I am 5th generation, which makes my grandchildren 7th generation.
Two of my great great grandfathers fought in the Civil War. One for the North and one for the South.
On my fathers side, they lived in Florida, NY. I am very proud of the fact that my grandfather was a farmer and had black dirt and grew onions. He was a highly regarded member of Florida, NY. I love the black dirt, visit it often, and remember my childhood days of working it. My father was a disabled WWII Navy veteran.
My mothers side came from Cornwall/Mountainville, Goshen and Central Valley/Harriman area.
My beloved brother, John W. Sicina was a Vietnam Veteran. He has since passed away and is missed every single day.
May 2013...I have since moved to Mooresville, NC to be by my two youngest grandchildren. I have been here going on 3 years. I volunteer at the Latta Plantation....I give tours and present the history of Mr. and Mrs. James Latta. I dress in period clothing. I am trying to track down some of the Latta family now and one particular slave they owned. She was the houseslave Suckey. I have tracked her down to the Mt. Mourne census in 1870. She was living with her daughter, Sylvia and 5 grandchildren. I am now trying to find her headstone. Sadly, she may not have one. Her name was Suckey and she took her masters last name of Latta. Any help would be appreciated.
Please write and let me know about yourselves. I love this site and have met some really nice people.
Thank you for taking the time reading my bio. | |

 | Bacchi Laurel, While adding some grave pics taken some time ago, just happen to run across a memorial you had added on Mary c. Apuzzo Bacchi. You did not post a pic of the stone. I just placed a pic of her husband and his parents in Find a Grave. My pic might be before Mary passed away. Is this something you just added or are you related to Mary? Sincerely, Rick Eklund | | | William E. Huckle

 | RE: Edward McCauley I am interested in All Macaulays, A photo will be most welcome and any information on him, family and yes even anecdotal friend stories with a place attached.
I am trying to link the various McCauley folks via DNA connections and anything that will entice other Macauley folks to join in is welcome.
This has become a long time project.
