|My mother and Aunt Aileen started working on family history about 30 years ago. I dabbled with my tree and uploaded a file my brother made for my mom about 10 years ago and messed around a little. When my Aunt Aileen passed at 70 my then 85 year old mother didn't really have the mental capabilities to get things on her program or online. I promised mom and my uncle that I would "finish." I know now that there is no finishing. I have almost 4,600 in my tree and find more about my family all of the time. I have met family members not too far removed and have discovered that I am a distant cousin of my husband on both sides of his family. |
Since there is no finishing I will push forward as long as I am able. My tree is public on Ancestry in hopes that the research I have done will help those who come after. If anyone finds any mistakes please let me know.
A distant cousin told me about this site. It makes my family history so much more real.
I hope I can help others by snapping photos nearby.

I am currently updating the Beulah, ND cemetery and came upon another Martin Dilger. Would he be related to you? Just wondering?
Thanks for maintaining and updating Adam's memorial. Much Appreciation! Suzanne

So sorry for the late reply. I've been wanting to do this for some time now. ;-(
Wow! That sounds like fascinating information! So glad to have found you. I have added you as a friend as well, so hopefully we can keep in touch with any new revelations. My family tree in progress on ancestry is at http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/45038109/person/
Have a great week!
re: RE: Thank you very much
My mother found a map of the Village that my grandfather's family lived. There were quite a few Dilger homes there along with Boehm homes. My cousin I found through Ancestry and then confirmed by DNA has Boehm in her family also. She is a Schimpf. I will work on this when I have time.

You've got a lot of them there. I missed one, so I will get it on one of my next trips.
|HPaine||What is SSP?|
Hi, Allene - SSP is a "local" abbreviation for the city of South Saint Paul. Sorry for the confusion! -Heather

You're most welcome, Allene! I have relations to Boehms, but I could not locate any Dilger or Schimpfs in my family tree.....as of yet anyway! ;-) I couldn't find any Brewer or Rauhs either. Sorry I couldn't help you. Let me know if you are looking to share any info on Boehms.
Happy New Year to you!
re: Thank you very much
Thank you for transferring Rose Dilger's grave to me. Just a question. My DNA results on Ancestry show some very close Boehm matches to me.
Do you happen to know how I am related to them? My two major family names are Dilger and Schimpf.

You're welcome Allene. I'm sure I will be getting more for you next year. Still no snow here but I'm sure it will be coming soon.
