retired college professor/psychology|
I've been seriously involved in genealogy for about 8 years. I am the official record keeper for one of the branches of my mom's family.
After moving to Denton County, I worked on many area cemeteries taking pictures of all the markers.
Now that I am in Dallas, I hope to continue with cemeteries in Dallas County.

Thanks so very much for taking and posting the gravestone photo for this special woman, and for giving me her plot information. I changed the order of the photos and posted the plot info. I knew her for many many years...since kindergarten, and I appreciate your help in making her memorial nice. Thanks again.
|June Ford||merrill willis family|
I'm absolutely certain that Merrill's family is very closely linked to my g-g-g grandfather's family - but I don't even know g-g-g-grandpa's name! His widow (or estranged wife) was in MO at the very same time as Merrill's mother, but no husband in sight. This would be 1830-70. I have copied, by hand, the depositions when Merrill's estate was disposed of; it has lots of very interesting clues but doesn't answer my questions. G-g-g grandma Catherine Willis' daughter Elizabeth was b. 1818 Estill Co KY, which is where another Merrill Willis lived -- it goes on & on. If anyone has information on this family I would really appreciate it. Most of the Willises in our area are from Madison Co KY & came later, but I think all are kin...
