Just a VERY amateur family history buff. Love this site and hope to be able to help out more. |
All pictures I may take are free for you to use however you see fit. I am NOT a photographer, I am usually using my iphone or inexpensive digital camera. I have NO problem with others deleting pics if they have a better one. I just know when I am looking for ancestors or family, a picture helps me KNOW that that person is really there and most likely lived and died when the tombstone says as such!
If I post a picture, and you would like a better one, please contact me through email. I will try my best to go out and get a better one for you.
I am trying to get pictures up for Cycadia Cemetery in Tarpon Springs, FL. Many of them are in Greek. I am trying to translate as best to my husband and in-laws ability, lol, so if you know that a certain person spelled their name in English differently, PLEASE let me know!
If you want a transfer please ask for it! I do not really have the time, outside of my family or my husband's, to give the memorials I create the time and care they deserve! I only enter them in case someone somewhere is looking, and hopefully one day will ask for a transfer and give some love! I will make corrections or links if that is all you want though, I just don't have the time to search for verifying information on my own.
If you are researching Pinellas roots a great website to visit, created and cared for by Linda Flowers, is http://fl-genweb.org/mpc/pinellas/
IMPORTANT!!! I HAVE RECENTLY STARTED WORKING CRAZY HOURS! I am trying my best to get through the corrections sent to me. Please to don't hesitate to resend them or ask for a transfer if it takes me longer than 2 weeks. Like I said above, I love to make transfers.

Happy Fifth of November tomorrow. Just ran across your profile tonight and figured I'd wish you a happy fifth. Don't actually know why but it must have meaning to you.
To see the side of the family I am researching, when you click on the link below, it will take you to my family tree.
The "Home Card" link is me, follow my father's side of the family and you see the Greek connection. Also there is a way to contact me off of here too. I did find a first cousin living in Tampa, haha.

Yes, I knew all the info about my Grandfather via my mother except for his siblings. I found that info via a Find A Grave member from Canada.
I did a complete USA search for Vincenc and found one more in Michigan, but he did not match your Vincenc. Why haven't you added your Vincenc to Find A Grave?
Or don't you know where he is buried?
I would like to help you some more, but would prefer that you email me via my regular email posted on my bio.
Hope to hear more from you,

Taking you up on your offer, you can ask your Mother In Law if she knew of John Nicholas Theios. John's father was Nicholas John Thios who came to America around 1901 and ran a fruit stand or grocery store in Dunnellon, FL. Nick married Kaliopi in Kalymnos around 1910/11. They had John and Helen Theios, Helen was my grandmother. Nick had a brother Emmanuel. Both Nick and his brother died in the flu epidemic of 1918. John and his sister Helen went off to live in Belgium for a bit before returning to the USA. John, in his youth, was a sponge diver in Tarpon Springs. The names that your mother in law might know would be Thios (Theios) and Eglezos. Thanks!
