|I am a native of Vermont and grew up there and in Florida and I currently live in Connecticut. I am also a contributor to the Vermont in the Civil War website. http://vermontcivilwar.org/index.php|
I have transcribed two different cemeteries for the Palm Beach County (FL) Genealogical Society, The Boynton Beach Memorial Park and the Boca Raton Municipal Cemetery. I work on various historical research projects and am trying to locate the graves of those Vermont Volunteers from the Civil War.

I wish I could take credit for getting the photo, but I was simply working on my own to-do list. I didn't know there'd been a request for the photo until I'd uploaded it.

I photographed the military marker for Henry Mattocks last summer, but his stone is below ground and inaccessible.

Thanks to the Sunday School Class. I am uploading others/adding graves to the cemetery based on these images. It is amazing how many of the stones don't exist anymore that they would be lost without what that class did.

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you.
Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

You're welcome. I'm glad to help. This cemetery is confused with Buelah quite often, so I'm always checking. Thanks for making the corrections. Barbara
|Barbara B||McWilliams at Beulah Cemetery|
Hi, I am familiar with Beulah Cemetery in Westmoreland County, PA. There are only 6 or 7 headstones there and maybe a few unmarked graves. I noticed that you added a memorial for Pvt. Lewis McWilliams, but I believe that he is buried at BUELAH (different spelling), also in Westmoreland County, PA. Most likely John McWilliams is buried there also. There is already a memorial for Lewis, as well as a headstone photo. Hope this information is helpful! Barbara
|Susan Kirstein||RE: Leonard Clark, Shinn Cemetery|
I noticed that you are looking for a picture of the headstone for Leonard Clark who died during the Civil War and is buried at the Shinn Cemetery in Shinnston, WV. I am the President of the Shinn Cemetery Preservation Project. We are on Facebook. Ask to join if you'd like. The cemetery is located on a steep hill behind the old high school and sad to say is in a state of disarray. We are trying to raise funds to provide access, map the cemetery and install a marker with all of the burials listed on it. My personal project is to restore Leonard Clark's stone. It is quite tall and has toppled over. Hopefully, we can do that and have it rededicated. I have pictures of his stone in my archives and will look for them. I will post them on Find a Grave and will let you know when I have done so.
