Retired teacher and Federal agent. Interests include genealogy, history and world travel. I sometimes visit old cemeteries and take photos of all the gravestones there. If there is not a findagrave memorial, I create one based on the tombstone. ANY relative or family member, friend or interested person is more than welcome to request transfer of these memorials.|
PET PEEVE: Find A Grave "number" collectors who have no interest in genealogy or family links and refuse to transfer to relatives unless they meet so-called "findagrave guidelines". You know who you are - shame on you!

How do you know Bertie is buried buried in the Parris Chapel Methodist Graveyard in Nicholas Co. Kentucky? I have tried to find a phone number for the church and or cemetery as she is not listed in any of the list I can find but no luck. Were you there and saw a headstone?

Thanks for posting the memorial for D.M. Caldwell. I was wondering if you are kin to this person, or just gathered the information. I am kin, not by blood, on the Cloninger side. I was wondering how you found his parents as this is not easy to find. I don't think his death certificate lists his parents and his family and mother are elusive in 1900. She may died prior to 1900 or remarried.
Thanks for your work,

First, thank you for voluntarily taking pictures! It is very helpful.
The picture posted on this memorial is not her marker. I know it's hard to read, but it is for N. E. Hilley, wife of S. M. Hilley. I have memorials for each of them, so I'll get their marker pics added.
When you have an opportunity, please remove the pic from Stella's memorial. I posted the one I took of her marker already.
Thanks again for your hard work!
Thank you so much for creating a memorial for my grandfather - Find A Grave Memorial# 92677772.
It's very generous of you to document cemeteries as you do. Your work is much appreciated by all.
Would you mind transferring his memorial to me for management? I'd like to add some links and photos.
Again, thank you for all that you do.

I absolutely agree with your assessment as to some of the "members" here.
My pet peeve is people who refuse to give veterans due recognition; I am a big supporter of our veterans and I think they deserve to be honored upon every instance, including the small courtesy and recognition of having their military rank included on their memorials. (In the fashion of adding their rank added via the drop-down box, so that it appears in the title line of the memorial page)
I cannot believe that people refuse to do something so simple. There is a bit too much "ownership" sometimes. Oh well.
Best wishes for 2014, Sir.
