Robert Grimes Griffith B 1920
Hello Ann, after several hours of research, I must write to notify you that Robert's true mom was Lillian Isabel Myers who was still married to his dad, James Jackson Griffith on the 1920 Census. Then on the 1930 Census, James is married to Fannie Sue Griffith, second wife. So Fannie cannot be Robert's mother as showing on his Find A Grave profile. And Robert must have been born in 1920 after the census was taken. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Janciepoplin/Them Bones

RE: Hafner Family
The problem with ancestry is that they shrink the photos, i.e. they reduce the dpi. I was hoping for more dpi so that I can restore it for my aunt. Sarah was her grandmother.

You posted a wonderful photo of the Hafner family.
It is about 4x5 inches at 96 dpi. Is there any chance of getting a larger dpi copy?

RE: Martha Manwarren
I would love to add the info that you sent, but I canīt, because the entry isnīt one of mine.

I would love to see the same info added to the entry of Marthaīś adoptive mother also, since she raised her. She was Ruth E. Bohannon Tucker, entry # 78538128.

Matthew J. Crews was also possibly one of my relatives---so if anyone has more information about him, I would love to know about it. (My gr-grandfather had a brother by the name of Matthew J. Crews.) Iīḿ interested to know if the Matthew Crewses are related to each other somehow.

Thanks!!!

Martha Manwarren
ANA,

I had to get back with you because I noticed that you have Marthaīś parents as a Matthew J. Crews and Betty Tucker Crews.

I was wondering where you found that because a Matthew J. Crews was a brother of my gr-grandfather---but I canīt find another one anywhere. I noticed that Martha has a sister, Ina, who had married a Crews also.

But I donīt believe her parents were Crews. Maybe she lived with some Crews for a time--possibly her sisterīs family????

Iīd love to know more about those Crews if you happen to know. (I was a Crews).

Thanks!!ī

Martha Tucker Manwarren
Hey ANA,

I had been looking for Martha when I found your entry for her.

She was a sister of some Tuckers that are all listed under her birth parents. And she is also listed under them in at least one census record and on her death certificate.

If you would like to connect her to the rest of them, Iīḿ going to send you a link to the rest of her family. Martha is the only one missing from that.

Thanks!!

RE: Louis Winkler
I have a couple of newspaper stories about him. He apparently worked at the Bay View Asylum in Baltimore and left mysteriously around 1903, according to a story in the Baltimore Sun. Later he worked at a hospital in Cleveland and was mentioned in a newspaper story for saving patients from a fire. The 1910 Census shows him as divorced, but I haven't found any record of a divorce. I can send you copies of these stories if you haven't seen them.

Neva Blanche Idol Linville
Hi Ann,

I was looking at some of the Idols in Ancestry, and saw that they have Neva's parents as something different than what is on her Find A Grave entry.

Ancestry has Eugene E. Idol and Flora Alice (Idol) Idol. I don't know which is right, but thought I would let you know about it.

Regards!!

James Killion Hamilton and Della Hamilton
Thanks for answering and trying to help me! :-)

We both found James Killion Hamilton on Find A Grave. I was turning in an "edit" and could not because you beat me to it. :-) So that takes care of him! :-)

I also found Della Hamilton (was that the other person that I asked you about?) She was born 24 Aug 1894 and died 16 May 1977 in Transylvania Co, NC.

She married Eugene Gaston Whitmire on 28 Apr 1912 in Henderson Co, NC. Find A Grave Memorial # 10483367

Thanks again! :-)
