Photography is a hobby of mine and I enjoy volunteering for Find A Grave. I got started when I was moving from my home state of NJ to North Carolina. I realized I would not be able to visit my grandmother in person once I moved, so I went for a "last visit" and took some pictures.

I was then doing some research and stumbled across this website and thought what a great idea. I created a memorial for my grandmother Theresa Bridget Dougherty Kane and have volunteered ever since. Please feel free to stop by and visit her... she loves flowers :-)(#10932834)

Visiting cemeteries may seem strange to some but they are very beautiful, tranquil places. You can think your thoughts, remember your loved ones and be humbled by how short life can be. It has also provided me the opportunity to explore the back country roads of my new home state while helping others stay connected to their friends and family.
