I have researched family genealogy for more than 40 years.

I think that findagrave is a wonderful resource, and most of its contributors are considerate of each other.

RE: Charles Branstetter
Thanks for the Memorial transfer for Charles Branstetter, Tony. So you must be a cousin on the Leonard and Daniel Crider line. I've done some work on the Criders and Johnsons over the years, and have a solid theory about Leonard Crider's parents (based on documentary research) that deviates a bit from the standard lineage record. Also looking for a photo of Leonard if any exists, and any pre-1890 photos of Daniel Crider and his brothers. Thanks again

I will request a merge, but per the admins, an entry placed in a (correct) cemetery takes precedence over another entry (Burial unknown or cremation without known disposition).

I will have the admins sort it out.
Thanks!

William Hightower's Middle Name
Hi, Tony... Thanks for getting in touch about the middle name of William Hightower (1805-1846). It's listed that way in some family trees, and when I checked into it further, here's what I found:

William is listed as "Sr." in some family trees. His son's name was William Robert Hightower, as shown in his marriage record (available on Ancestry.com):

U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900

Name: William Robert Hightower
Gender: Male
Spouse Name: Mary Ann Rien

Since I couldn't find any records other than family trees to document William Sr.'s middle name as Robert, I have deleted it from his memorial, and added a note to his bio about it.

Thanks,
Nancy

Helen Wheeler Dickerson Casey
In case you want it, here is the obituary for Mrs. Casey that was in the August 18, 1983, edition of The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas:

Helen Casey services 2 p.m. today

Funeral services for Helen Casey, a lifetime resident of Norfork, will be at 2 p.m. today at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Troy Melton officiating. Interment will be in Galatia Cemetery.
Mrs. Casey, 64, died Tuesday at Baxter County Regional Hospital.
Survivors include three sons, James Dickerson of Portland, Oregon, Charles Dickerson of Gassville and Neil Edwards of Hope; one daughter, Mary Medley of Independence, MO; two brothers, Frank Wheeler of Norfork and William Wheeler of Green Forest; one sister, Edna Woods of Norfork; 15 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Emma Susser Wheeler.
Mrs. Casey was born Feb 11, 1919, at Norfork. She was a housewife and a Protestant.

(It would appear that she and Acie Dickerson were divorced since he was still living when she died. I would guess that the children chose to bury them together under the Dickerson name. It would also appear that she had been married a third time since one of the sons had the surname of Edwards.)

Susannah Hudson Hightower
Tony, do you know where Susannah Hudson Hightower is buried? I looked for her in Georgia and could not find her.

Thank you for the links for his parents and wife. Can you confirm Highland Cemetery is where he is buried? The funeral home record states he is buried there, but when I requested a photo the cemetery said they had no record.

RE: Christine Moreland Hightower
I did not make the other memorial. I did not take the photos. I knew her and was just looking at her memorial. A lady by the name of Jan King made the other memorial. I have asked her to delete hers.

Thanks
