Bio Photo My name is Glenn. I enjoy taking photos of tombstones in the Ozaukee County area. I have been researching my ancestry for the past seven years and I love to find old records.

Kathy and I volunteer for the Ozaukee County Historical Society. We are in the process of photographing and documenting all the cemeteries in Ozaukee County.

If you have any questions about your Ancestry feel free to contact the Ozaukee County Historical Society at 262-377-4510. They are open every Tuesday from 9AM to 3 PM, the 2nd and 4th Monday night from 5 8 P.M. and the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Recently individuals are submitting transfer requests without the required information.

I would appreciate if anyone requests a transfer, use the EDIT tab. The transfer request must contain the following information: Relationship; Parents, Siblings, Grandparents and Great Grandparents (which does not include Aunts/Uncles/Cousins) and your Find-A-Grave Contributor Number. A transfer cannot be completed without the contributor number. This will assist me in processing your request in a timely fashion.

Norman Ast
Hi Glenn & Kathy, I saw you have a request for Norman E Ast in Conway Springs. We do have a Norman Ast, but he is alive and well as far as I know. I did find a Norman E Ast who fits the birth and death years you indicated buried in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, KS. I have a posted a link I hope you can use.

Delores Kotre
I have been attempting to get a grave photo for Delores Mae (Anheier) Kotre in Immanuel cemetery. Since you did the original memorial I am hoping you can help me. Someone attempted and said no marker is where it is supposed to be located. If there is no grave marker what source would you have used for the information. This is for her sister who is not into genealogy and didn't even know where her sister was buried until I found this on ancestry. She died 1 Apr 1966 and was buried 4 Apr 1966. Thank you for any help you could give me. Carolyn In E TN.

You can disregard my previous message. I believe I have resolved the duplicate memorials. It appears that your registrations are correct (in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery) and the other person's registration in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery are in error. I can understand how the other person made the mistake since the two cemeteries are collocated. I will actually be in Grafton tomorrow morning and plan to visit the gravesites myself to verify the information. Once verified I'll contact Find A Grave and ask that the incorrect duplicates be removed. Thank you for establishing these memorials in the first place. I note that you added a burning candle to one of the Aberwald memorials only a week or so ago. Are you also descended from them?

Father David F. Wilbur
Good morning. I'm Susan a volunteer photographer for Find a Grave. I was trying to honor your request for Father Wilbur. At first I was told the cemetery had no record. Then I asked that they look under Father Wilbur and they found his location. I wanted to let you know that I photographed Father Wilbur's grave stone and posted it to his memorial page.

There is some confusion about two of my ancestors buried in Ozaukee County cemeteries. There are what appear to be duplicate Find A Grave registrations in different cemeteries for them. I would appreciate your looking into this for me.

The first ancestor is Elizabeth E. Geisinger Aberwald. You have her in the St. Joseph Cemetery Find A Grave# 88616663. The other person has her in the St. Paul Cemetery Find A Grave# 31807277.

The other ancestor is Mathias A. Aberwald. You have him in St. Joseph Cemetery Find A Grave# 88616227. The other person has him in the St. Paul Cemetery Find A Grave# 31807281.

The markers look to be the same in both duplicate memorials.

My wife and I plan to be in Ozaukee County late next week to visit gravesites and it would be nice to be able to bypass the detective work while we're there. If you're willing, I'd ask that you do actual physical verification rather than simply relying on your records.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to provide.

RE: Paul Miller
Your stories certainly sound like my grandpa! Hah! Thanks for the laughs. My father and both my brothers started out working for my gramps too (thankfully, I was a "girl" so I wasn't expected to....).

"The Duck" would most likely have been my grandpa's brother, Donald Roy "Duck" Miller. :) His memorial #88502454 - I put some photos on there so you should be able to tell. I can't imagine there was more than one person called that. Ha ha ha....

My gramps and all his siblings were hard workers - but you started at the bottom, I can still remember hearing my own brothers talk about being "the" laborer.. they didn't like it either.

Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate it!

RE: Paul Miller
Sorry about the number and thanks for taking the time to find the right one - I really do appreciate it!

I would LOVE to hear any stories you have of my grandfather - he is, as always, truly missed! (Both he and my grams.)

Thank you for all the work you've done on find-a-grave, really. A good portion of my Ozaukee County relatives have been put on here thanks to you. (Miller, Langlais/Langlois, and others.) My next trip home to WI I plan on visiting as many as I can and with this site I can build a map and know where they are ahead of time.
