Bio and Links
Bio Photo Like so many, I originally came to this site for geneology research. I have been working on Mound Cemetery in Racine, Wisconsin as a hobby. My method is to take pictures, one block at a time, and create memorials based on the photos. I have completed blocks 30,33,34 and 35. I am currently working on block 31. Due to my method, I have not been recording every person in the cemetery, just each stone. Sometimes a stone may be legible but the photo is not, so if you need me to go check something again for you or take a new picture please don't hesitate to ask! I am not related to anyone in Mound Cemetery, so if you would like a transfer, please send it through the SAC tab and mention your relationship. I won't transfer my family unless FAG rules oblige me to do so. If you would like to use my pictures on other website, all I ask is that you credit me for them :)

And if you have a moment or if I have helped you at all, it would mean a lot to me if you would please leave flowers for Peter Eckstein.

RE: Matson family at Mound Cemetery
I can confirm through census records that Peter was Mat's father, and from my other records that Alvin was Mat and Sophie's son. The other names and dates don't match the list of Mat and Sophie's children that I have.

There is a tree on that shows Elsie as the daughter of Mat's brother Marinus (aka Morris), who did use the spelling Matsen. The same tree shows Mabel (1900-1907) as the daughter of Mat's brother Andrew. I don't see the other two children in that tree. My connection to the Matson family is through Mat's wife Sophie, so I don't really know much about Mat's relatives.

Hope that helps you, and thanks for letting me know. I'm really glad you're working on Mound Cemetery, since I've found the office unhelpful when I've visited.

RE: Theo and Elwyn Bryner
No i didn't, but i do know a Richard (Rink) Bryner and his family, who is related to the Bryners buried in Frontier Cemetery. I believe Rink is a grandson of Theo and Elwyn.

RE: Photo Album
I ended up placing just a few pictures on Find-A-Grave memorials. I gave up on the others. With your e-mail, I checked on some possible sites to host these old photos via Cyndi's List. I still came up with DeadFred which I would be comfortable with since I just have to enter a place name and perhaps a year. The majority of pictures are from Michigan, but some are labeled from Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I will get to it someday since the album lays on my computer desk and will not go away!
