My Grandmother loved researching our family history and traced our lineage as far back as she could. Some branches are more complete than others. I am trying my best to honor her by continuing where she left off. I think about her often as I discover a new link that had her baffled. She would have loved researching online and especially using Find A Grave to view cemeteries that were otherwise inaccessible to her. I feel cheated as she died only 4 days after I was born. I suppose, in a way this effort is something we are doing "together". |
Of course this search for family as led me to work on my Dad's side as well.
I appreciate all the time and effort so many people I will never meet have put into helping me locate stones I need to complete my searches.

Herman's wife Mary E Coy was my 4th cousin. Herman and Mary had at least 8 children.
Are you interested in exchanging information?

You're welcomed, Ann ~ always happy to turn up some of your kin; you wanted another couple...Wilson...Marion is listed in records as Mariane, but I couldn't locate them/her with either spelling...maybe on another trip!

Thanks. Now I have to find the wife of Uriah, mother of Edward. She probably remarried, so it will be no easy task. I appreciate you putting the Ayres memorials up, as they are a distant branch of my family I have always wondered about.
Wow, I sure wasn't expecting such a fast response! Thank you so much for your help. I hope you have a great holiday season.

You're very welcomed, Ann...glad to have been able to visit Willoughby again and share with you just in time for Thanksgiving! Hope your endeavors turn out successfully, too!
Greetings! I am not related to the Pierce family. You may want to check the web site called Cattaraugus County, NY Genweb. It is a wonderful resource for those who lived in that county. That is where I found the cemetery information.
I have trasferred to you this memorial since you appear to be connected. If there are others in the cemetery I can transfer, please let me know.
By the way, your picture of you and the kids warms the heart of this old geezer!

I had better clarify - Montpelier is a cemetery here in Madison County, Iowa, where the Crosleys are buried. I live in Winterset, Madison County, Iowa.
It is nice that William will be remembered with flowers next spring.
