Hi,
I got into this research as a personal and final request for my mother just before she died. She had worked many years on the family history research and had done it with paper and pen. I promised her I would work to get it on the computer. Well you guessed it, I am now hooked as well.
I use FAG as a means of communicating to others the information I accumulate. I appreciate your postings on my memorials, but please, no death certificates. When I find a memorial created by someone else, and I have information that will enhance the memorial, I send a SAC to that person with the information. Each SAC I send is sent with love and a desire for valuable information to be shared. The only negative thing I have to say is that if you respond to me abusively, I will send your message, in its entirety, on to FAG, for appropriate action.
The surnames I am interested in are Breshears, Blackwell, English, Carter, Gantt, Tuckness, Arnold, Cooper, Hogg, Harden, Sherertz, McNair, Sims, Butler, Gallaher, etc.
I'll be happy to transfer records to you if you are relatives of those I have management of. Please let me know if you have corrections or additional information that you would like posted. The proper way to request these changes is not here on my profile page in the comments. To request changes of any kind, go to the memorial in question, click on the [edit] at the top right of the memorial and then select the first option. That will give me a link to the proper memorial. Changes requested here on my profile page will be deleted with no action.
I create memorials for anyone that has a headstone in the cemeteries I survey. If there is no date of death, I am uncertain as to whether they are deceased or not. As a result, I create the memorial and connect them to the spouse that shares the headstone.
I post pictures of the persons based on what I have available. If you have better pictures, feel free to post them and send me a note so I can decide if I want to remove the one I have posted.
I have no desire to amass high numbers in any of the categories that FAG tracks. I hope you don't either.
I have added a link to my local Genealogical Society here in Polk County. You will enjoy our site. It is not my personal web site. | |

 | George Costelow Find A Grave #44800601
Hi Jan, my name is Dale Keim (dalekeim@yahoo.com). I think it is likely that this is the grave of George T. Costelow. I am interested in this family since my sister has married into that family.
George T appears in the 1860 and 1870 Census for Hickory County Missouri and then seems to "drop off the map". That fits modestly well with the date of birth (I have 1853 from the census) and your headstones date of birth and death. If you are ever in that area again I would much appreciate another photo. Perhaps if you are looking for it the name might look something more like George T Costelow. Too bad the stone has broken.
At that time the Costelow's were living in Hickory County mostly around Wheatland.
Thanks so much for you efforts.
Cheers
Dale Keim (dalekeim@yahoo.com)

 | Orr Family I sent a message to the Polk County Genealogy Society concerning my family in Missouri. I found your name on a request for information about Pulaski Cemetery in New Boston, Texas on Fowlers and Sheltons. I sent my request to you to get me started in Missouri. I don't know that you will have the information and don't expect you to, but hope you can point me in the right direction. I am also researching the Stewart Family. Both are from Missouri originally (Orr - Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Stewart - Cameron and St. Jo, Missouri). I appreciate your help and am looking forward to being able to help others in their search as I download my information to Find a Grave. | RE: Memorial for Maire Eliza Dunlap Gant I was just wondering why you would post a photo of a tombstone that looks identical to the one I had posted 2 years earlier. And to tell you the truth, I can't see any differences in the photo. I thought maybe you had downloaded the photo from find-a-grave and then re posted it accidentally. | | | Janie Light
 | Memorial for Maire Eliza Dunlap Gant Would you please contact me about the photo you added for memorial # 38621832.
Thanks, Janie Light

 | Bolivar City Cemetery Jan, I was hoping you could help me. I have had some open photo requests for 3 different family members by the last name of Burns in the Bolivar City Cemetery for close to a year with no response. I do not know if this cemetery still exists. Is there any information you could supply for these family members? Their memorial numbers are 36378162, 87252728 and 36378161. Thank you for any help you could give me in this area. | | | Phyllis Leo
 | FAG # 45775279 Please contact me at pleo6684@att.net relative to the tombstone of Elizabeth Alexander, Mopunt Vew Cemetery, Polk Couty, Missouri. I believe this is my great great grandmother and would like info to either rule it in or out. Thank you so much | | | M. A. Claxton
 | James Landon Carter Jan, When I listed the Carter (234) cemetery, I was putting the information down that was in Inscriptions in Stone which was published in 1989. Since James is now in the Henry Cemetery, I need to ask if this is the cemetery that was removed because of construction of the 4-lane and if so, were all 4 people listed in the cemetery book moved to Henry Cemetery? If so, I need to be able to make that note on the cemetery listing, but I need to leave the cemetery listing because it is in the cemetery book.
Thanks, Mary Ann | | | sherylls
 | RE: Blackwell Cemetery Jan, I'm leaving today to go back to Austin. If you find any information on Blackwell Cemetery, let me know and I'll go back next time I'm up here visiting my parents. If you need anything in the Austin area, I'd be happy to go look for you! - SherylAdded by sherylls on Mar 16, 2013 12:20 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
