Bio

Hi I'm Jay Follett.

I've been doing family history since about 1988. It's amazing what we can do know with digital technology and biology (DNA).

I'm researching my ancestors and their descendants:

Paternal: Kirby, Christoffersen, Follett, Niles, Morrill, Stokes, Hansen, Gibson, Woolf, Irons, Jorgensen, Sickles.

Maternal: Hamilton, Hester, Jones, Owens, Chandler, Copeland, Bartlett, Orr, Mitchell, Pond, Judd, Orr (among others).

I've also created many memorials for many unrelated people including many from local cemeteries in New Mexico and other places. If you want a transfer for any of these, let me know. Not really in it for the numbers or personal credit but more of a public service. It's not about me but them.

My fathers side of the family include pioneers and immigrants who joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mom's side were southerners, mostly Baptists and Methodists, and include a few colorful characters.

I hope the legacy of my memorials will enable others to find and know their ancestors, to preserve our history and to honor those who have gone before us and made us who we are.

Thanks to the many photo volunteers, folks who have added details and links and others who have collaborated in this effort.

If you have corrections, additional information, pictures or would like to add links, let me know and your or I can add them to the memorials I have created.

You are free to use any photo or other data I have added for person use or for family history or for use on ancestry.com or other family history web sites.

I've tried to connect as may of my relatives as I can find in findagrave.

In addition to findagrave, ancestry.com also has my ancestors and their descendants in the tree jayfollett. I have around 12,000+ people in this tree (and growing).

Thanks and happy hunting.

Jay

P.S. When I started using findagrave there were less than 20 million names. Pretty amazing site.

I recently took ancestry.com DNA test and I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a boost in identifying ancestors and their descendants.
