Bio and Links
Bio Photo My particular areas of interest are Berks, Montgomery, Schuylkill, Chester and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania.

Memorials are not bulletin boards. Please do not attach gaudy clip images as a photo. If you feel this information is vital send as a suggestion in digital format to add to the bio section.

Do not create and then request a middle name be added unless it appears in a obituary/death/burial/birth record/tombstone.

Use caution if a link is requested to recently submitted memorials of older pioneers in Berks County which could likely be a duplicate with slight variations.

My Patriots of the Revolution include:
George Herbst 1712, George Dry 1725, Johannes Koch 1725, Daniel Guldin 1735, Johann Christian Scheidt 1736, Michael DeLong 1739, Bernhard Eitel 1745, Michael Krebs 1744, Henrich Knauss 1746, John De Turck 1747, Marmaduke Von Buskirk 1750, John Grant 1754, Sebastian Koch 1757

Generally, transfers of memorials unrelated to my family or friends will only be made for your direct ancestors, therefore excluding, cousin, aunts, uncles, etc.

Neil. I see that you added a photo of a grave marker to Daniel's memorial that does not bare his name. If he, Daniel, does not have a grave marker, would you be so kind as to contact the Berks County Veteran Representative to ask if the county would add a marker for him?

It really bothers me that so many veterans who are buried in Berks County do not have a grave marker. Any assistance you could render would be gratefully appreciated.

Your findagrave friend,

Jerry

RE: East End
Pottstown Cemetery is separated by Hanover Street. The oldest part is referred as East and the other side of the street is West. Mike

RE: Edits
Just completed the first Lutheran list given to me. It is not a complete list, so I need to return to the church office for additional info.
I have a meeting on Thursday to pick up the UCC Cemetery list.
That's where the confusion will start....

Hi Neil,
I've removed the headstone photo & familial links from the Charles Lilley memorial you created. You may want to change the birth year on his memorial to 1873 to match the Gerberich record though. I look forward to a headstone photo, death cert or obit for this mystery man!
Thanks!
Melissa

Hi Neil,
I was unaware that Gerberich recorded only what he saw and didn't use cemetery records of any kind--good to know, and thanks for the clarification!
Also, I've added a headstone photo for Charles Lilley. His date of birth is 4 July 1883, and year of death is 1964 if you'd like to make those changes, or, I can submit them as edits if you wish. Thanks for your help!
Melissa :)

RE: Message
Hi Neil,
What I'm suggesting is that if there is a Charles Lilley buried in Elverson M.E. Cem, then his birth and death dates are incorrect. I will submit an edit for his birth date as shown on his draft registrations, but I do not know when he died or with certainty that he's buried in that cemetery.

Oops! I made a typo! The pages for Joseph Walker and Elizabeth Potts in the Exeter Minutes are 352-353. I just found another marriage of another one of Thomas Potts' daughters - Derrick Cleaver, son of Peter, and Mary Potts, daughter of Thomas & Martha Keurlis, pages 48-49 - same minutes, alphabetically, also with list of children and spouses. Thanks again...
