Bio and Links
Bio Photo My particular areas of interest are Berks, Montgomery, Schuylkill, and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania.

I may chose to reset my memorial which I find to be defaced with gaudy clip images. If you feel this information is vital send as a suggestion in digital format to add to the bio section.

Do not request a middle name be added unless it appears in a obituary/death/burial/birth record/tombstone. Mother's last names are seldom given as a middle name at baptism.

My Patriots of the Revolution include:
George Herbst 1712, George Dry 1725, Johannes Koch 1725, Daniel Guldin 1735, Johann Christian Scheidt 1736, Michael DeLong 1739, Bernhard Eitel 1745, Michael Krebs 1744, Henrich Knauss 1746, John De Turck 1747, Marmaduke Von Buskirk 1750, John Grant 1754, Sebastian Koch 1757

Generally, transfers of memorials unrelated to my family or friends will only be made for your direct ancestors, therefore excluding, cousin, aunts, uncles, etc.

Angel Wilson Gerhart
Union Cemetery in Bowers
Do you know if the current Union Cemetery in Bowers, Berks County was previously known as the Reformed congregation of DeLong's church, Bowers Station?

Trying to find a relative who was buried at DeLongs.

thanks
Carol

RE: Com. Sgt. Jeremiah Reimel
Any information (other than learning that he is buried in Erie, Pa and NOT in Gettysburg) was obtained from family members (my aunt who did the family genealogy many years ago)and also from distant Reimel cousins which I corresponded with several years ago.

Jeremiah is my great grandfather and also I submitted my memorial back in 2004, whereas, yours was submitted in 2012!

For this reason, I am again asking for a merge or a deletion of your memorial to him.

Thank you.

Sorry
Sorry about that...got carried away trying to clean up Friedens in Oley (including my own submissions...had to delete several that were duplicates). Lots more photos to add. Anyway, you've got a ton of great stuff out there. Really appreciate it and all your dedication to those who have gone before, especially our vets. Thanks again.

Com. Sgt. Jeremiah Reimel
Commissary Sargent Jeremiah Reimel is/was my great-great grandfather.

Until recently, I believed he was buried in Gettysburg National Cemetery and had him listed as so.

It recently came to my attention that he is buried in Erie, PA at the Soldiers & Sailors Home Cemetery a.k.a. Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Some of your information appears to be incorrect as I have a copy of his pension record where he lists 3 children (all daughters) and my calculations say that he only had 2 children at the age of 25, the third daughter being born when he was about 27 1/2 years old.

At any rate, I was wondering if we could somehow either merge these two records or perhaps delete one or the other. OR that you could transfer this memorial to me so I can make corrections as I see fit.

Many thanks to you.

I am curious to know where you obtained the information you posted about him.

Thanks- Bertha (BeBe)

He is a link to the memorial I have for him which I corrected today to reflect his proper place of death and burial.

Neil,
Ellen Spatz WAS Married to a MACHMER, however on her death certificate it lists that she was divorced and she was going back to her maiden name of SPATZ just as the tombstone indicates.

Not sure what the protocol is on divorce, but I would think linking the kids and dropping the Machmer on the listing and documenting it in the bio would suffice. I can send you a copy of the death certificate.

RE: Jonathan Rhoads
My pleasure- my husband found a notebook at a flea market that three people put together around 1983 of the burials in Fairview Cemetery. I want to try to use it to locate some of these photo requests but, alas, there is no index so it's slow going.
