I became intrigued with online genealogy searches, having been fortunate enough to have inherited from my great-grandmother her personal notes together with about 100 books recording local and family histories. However, when I began the daunting task of documenting the family history, trying to verify names and dates, fill in gaps, and update information, I was surprised and delighted when I stumbled across the Find A Grave website. I am filled with gratitude to the thousands of volunteers who have contributed to building and maintaining this wonderful resource, and appreciate the opportunity to be part of this virtual community as well.|
My family ancestry in the US started in the Delaware-Maryland-Pennsylvania area and includes BAILY, BLACKISTON, CAEL, FABRYKA, FERREE, FORD, HOOPES, JACKSON, LORYNOWICZ, MILLER, ROBERTS, TAYLOR, VOSHELL, WATSON, WINDLE, WOOLLEY. My husband's ancestry is centered in the Philadelphia area and includes MARTIN, SHEPERLA, SHEPLEY, SILCOX, THOMAS.
I am happy to be a photo volunteer for Guaje Pines Cemetery in my hometown (Los Alamos, New Mexico) but am unable to fulfill requests for photos elsewhere in the area, such as Santa Fe(at least, not until I retire from my fulltime job!).

Greetings cousin June,
Greetings from a snowy Pennsylvania!! Took advantage today of a "snow day" to do some genealogical research which I haven't done in a very long time. While researching, I came across an interesting death record on the Ancestry.com site for an Estelle Grace Ford born in 1888 in Philadelphia, PA and died July 17, 1888 in Philadelphia, PA buried in Union Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA (now a defunct cemetery. The notice listed the decedant's residence address as 2031 Wharton St, Philadelphia, PA and the father as Walter Ford. Wasn't sure if you knew where the Fords lived when they were in Philadelphia? I do know that you had mentioned to me that they were married in 1887 and I know their son Walter Harry Ford was born in Philadelphia in June of 1889. So the dates on this death record would work and I thought that this might be one of the children they had who died at a young age. Just a stab in the dark!
Hope you and your family are well and wish you a happy and peaceful 2014!
Your Harten cousin from Pennsylvania,

I came across your contributions to this site and wanted to let you know that Anna Blackiston Poplos was my grandmother. We did occasionally visit (with my grandparents and parents) Aunt Elva.

Thank you so much for taking photographs of the marker for Ford and Josephine Warnes. I see they have some beautiful flowers someone put out for them. It's nice to know there's family left in the area as well as wonderful people like you helping family who are too far away to visit in person. Thanks again! :)
Thank you so much for the pictures! You're appreciated!
I messed up in spelling the name.
Thank you for pointing it out.
I made the correction to the memorial.
Who put out all the beautiful flowers?
