Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired for a few years and loving it,but lots of time on my hands. So, family tree research helps fill the void. I'm researching names Ford, Myers,Lane, Rooks, Ruark, Holden, Gober, Standard,Standiford, West, Harned, Cranor.

I ran across this interesting law in the state
of Texas. Chapter 711.041 states, "the public has a right to ingress/egress to all cemeteries
for the purposes of visit". That is also to say that once "a cemetery...ALWAYS a cemetery" (if bodies remain in the ground). Furthermore, Texas law Chapter 711.052 makes violations of
Chapter 711.041 a Class A misdemeanor. Food for
thought as you and I go out to research cemeteries and run into individuals with an attitude.

RE: James Henry Ford
How great! I too have found a wealth of info on findagrave. Just posted several photos I had of Tennessee cemeteries for everyone. If you look at James Henry's father memorial, Josiah Ford, you will find that someone placed a completely new headstone on their grave. Am trying to find out who did this and thank them. The original was in pretty bad shape but still readable. Amy trying to confirm Josiah's father and mother and keep going back.

We recenetly were in Thayne Wyoming for 2 months and I found requests for photos for their cemetery there so I took what photos I could find. Am also working on a book for the library there about the cemetery including photos and obits, etc. since not everyone has access to the internet and are not able to walk the cemeteries but come to that area looking for people.

I love genealogy and love it when I find a person or info that someone is looking for.

Keep in touch. Kay Morgan Fischer (my mother was the Ford in the family.)

Craddock G and Matilda Wilbanks Gober
Hi Jim,I noticed your message on your wall of a Wilbanks/Gober connection. Craddock and Matilda of around Jackson Co Ga are my GGG grandparents. I've hit a serious brick wall on finding who Matilda's parents are. Just wondered if you knew any info on this Wilbanks thru your Gobers? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely,Tania

Isom Asberry Gober/Wilbanks conection.
Jim. just wanted to see if you might have some information on know where I can find it. Lura Debora Wilbanks, according to Francis Scott Gober in a letter he wrote in 1966 and posted online by Barbara Cunningham(Gober),now deceased,Deborah was raised from a young child until she was married to James A. Felty by the Isom Asbury Gober family in Fannin County Texas.Deborah and James are my grandparents I'm trying to ascertain the circumstances behind this. Family lore is that Debbie was a Native American orphan and adopted by the Wilbanks. So far I have been un able to find any information on her childhood.
any information that you might have on this or maybe one of the other Gober members would have, would be greatly
Thanks in advance,Noble Pearce
