Bio and Links
Bio Photo After 30 years teaching in the classrooms of Texas public schools I retired at the end of May, 2005. I am fascinated by genealogy, and I spend quite a lot of time doing family research. I am now Director of Nancy Nail Memorial Library in Mart, TX. My husband and I have been married 34 years. I have a wonderful son and two great step-sons, two daughters-in-law and 8 grandchildren: 1 grandson and 7 granddaughters.

After my Daddy passed away in 2009, I was elected to serve in his place on the board of directors of the Prairie Hill Cemetery Association, Limestone County, Texas. My husband is the president of the Kirk Cemetery Association, Limestone County, Texas.

Richard Mack Williams bio
Patricia, Thank you so much, for so promptly including the additional information about his change in assignment/location; and for including the supporting CE documentation/citiation! May he rest in peace... ~Linda

PS: would you happen to have a photo of Officer Williams in his DPD uniform (or even out of uniform) from around 1963 to post on his memorial? That would be fantastic as neither I nor any other JFK researchers have been unable to find a contemporaneous photo of him. In addition to researching writing bios for law enforcement officers who worked on the JFK assassination, I spend countless hours doing genealogical research on them, then searching for photos in their old yearbooks and trying to match them to those of unknown officers in photos from Dealey Plaza, the DPD, Texas Theater etc...to try to complete the historic record. (I don't want to take all the credit for this, of course. There are several other good researchers i know, around the US, Canada, the UK, and Belgium who do this work as well. We all work together and help each other out toward this goal.) Thanks again!

RE: Welcome
Thank you for the welcome. I have loved researching my family history for at least the last 10 years. I find the information from cemeteries to be some of the most fascinating. I just visited Nashvillle, TN to photo my grandmother's grave along with her husband, siblings and parents. I plan to use some of my free time to help others who are looking for photos of graves that happen to be near me.

You are very welcome. I took a leisurely drive to the cemetery on my motorcycle - enjoyed it!

I noticed you wrote that she was your 4 times great aunt, she was my 4 times great grandmother. I am trying to get more information about her. I was always told she was full blooded Cherokee and trying to confirm this. Thanks !! Charlotte

Thanks for posting the bio i wrote up for him. I removed it from under the flower i posted. Sorry i just now got your message and am just now replying. It was interesting to read your added comment. I definitely believe that witnesses were killed. Powerful interests to protect - and they would stop at nothing. The alternative would be to end up like the Lincoln assassins. Executed for high treason.

hite cemetery memorial #102087553
I am sorry, but I do not have a better photo of memorial #102087553. The graveyard is on private property. I had permission to visit but, unfortunately, it was a one-time only deal. Some of the headstones were harder to photograph than others, and I wasn't able to get full frontal shots.
