Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.

God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you

...no one will ever know.

A LIMB HAS FALLEN

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

May I add a death certificate to a person's memorial page?

Death certificates may be added via the "Add a photo" button on the memorial page. Please select the option for "Other" in the "Type of photo:" to be added, as it is not a Grave, Person or Family photograph. NOTE: Death certificates do not necessarily contain completely accurate information about the deceased. There are often errors regarding the final burial location (as well as other data).

It really bothers me that some people go out and take all these pictures and put info on find a grave without any info as the person does not even belong to them and then they wont transfer as they say you are not a direct line , well I am one that if that person is not related to me I am more than willing for anyone to have it to put information on so others can find it.. So keep that in mind if you ask for a transfer be willing to transfer back and not always follow the guidelines that you have to be DIRECT relative. Sometime there is no one left to put the information on find a grave...

Thanks for noting that I had made a duplicate entry. I have deleted the duplicate. I did add an edit for this memorial to add Mary's maiden name.

RE: Frank J Kolb # 95593010
Thanks for bailing me out. I looked for Frank's parents and found nothing concrete. A possibility are John Kolb (1858 - 1918), Memorial# 97081088, and Katherine Kolb (1855 - 1941), Memorial# 97081113. An obit mentions three surviving sons for her, one of which was born in 1891, but no mention of deceased children. Frank died prior to both of these "potential parents".

RE: Frank J Kolb # 95593010
Thank you so much for your message! I did blunder on the parents of Frank J Kolb # 95593010. What tripped me up was Frank Kolb, Jr (1892 - 1903) # 35900583 and that I stumbled on # 95593010 when looking at Kolbs in Saint Mary Cemetery. Please remove Frank Kolb (1861 - 1915) and Marie Kolb (1861 - 1941) as his parents. If you put a note regarding parents of Frank J Kolb # 95593010 in his biographical information, I'll see if I can find them in Find A Grave.
I see that you are researching the family name Whitmore. I know a Whitmore from Addison, NY. There are lots of Schoonovers around Steuben County, NY as well.
Best,

Coleman, I can't thank you enough for having Irish JoKerr take pictures and make observations at the Calvary Cemetery yesterday. She acted so fast! I've thanked her. Thank you for doing what you do. Truly. Happy Holidays. Warmest, Mary

Dunn - Cleveland Calvary
Thank you so much for recently adding entries for my great-great-grandparents, Patrick & Elizabeth Dunn. I just discovered them here, and I've submitted a photo request for each. I'll add some biographic info to their profiles as I can.
