Bio

We enjoy researching and sharing our family history. Born in Illinois, though we no longer live there, our cemetery research focuses primarily on Hancock County, Illinois, and Scotland County, Missouri. When we visit "home" we enjoy visiting the cemeteries we went to with our parents and grandparents to tend the family graves and pay tribute to those we love. It is our hope to document as much as we can, especially in the small cemeteries where many family members are buried. Our families' migration paths include Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky, so those states are also of particular interest to us. We make every effort to add accurate information, using census data, cemetery lists, obituaries, and other well-researched documentation. That said, typos are possible and we cannot guarantee that all information is correct. If you spot an error or have information to add to a biography, please let us know.

You are welcome to use the photos or bios we've developed for nonprofit purposes, but please include the source since we sometimes add additional information to the memorial or correct errors in the data. If you use published obituaries that we've added with permission of the publisher, please be sure that copyright laws are respected in using that data.
