Bio Photo PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY INFO ON ANYONE I OWN, PLEASE TELL ME! I don't care if it's a silly little story about what you remember of them! Anything to give that memorial a voice, I will add. WE are the voices for these people. Let's give them all a story. I try to find any info I can, but sometimes you fall short. So any and all are welcome.

For the first 6 years my husband and I were members of Find a Grave we never put any effort into helping others. We only used this site as a tool in finding his family. I have been lucky that my family has kept records. He has no clue about where he came from. That is why Scott and I became members of this website. Now that we have learned about his history, we decided that it's time to pay back people that helped us. I know what we are doing won't change history, nor will we get a prize for the work we do. But at least we can shut our eyes at night knowing maybe, just maybe we made someone's day for the efforts we have done. This is not a charity to us, but a way to give to others. I had a little old man tell me years ago " Talk to a new person everyday and you will grow as a person". He was right.... I have never been a shy person, which is odd that I married someone that is. But he makes me grow... Don't be hateful; it only brings pain. Be grateful; it only brings joy. Words to live by... Please don't hesitate to send me info, corrections, or even complaints. We have been photographing headstones for less than a year (8/2013) and love every second. The history I have learned and the history my husband has helped me with has been mind blowing. I always hated history. To bad they didn't teach us this kind of history in school. Please everyone: THIS IS MY ACCOUNT AND MY HUSBANDS!!!! WE ARE LINKED; SCOTT & KRISTY!!!!! I hate people that assume I'm the requester just because that is the account name. I could change it to Bologna Sandwiches and you wouldn't think twice about the name. So quit thinking I'm the requester, just because it's my name! WE ARE THE ACCOUNT HOLDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you and sorry on a rant...

RE: Tavia Tomlinson McAdams
Good morning! Tavia is Octavia May "Tavia" Tomlinson, daughter of William Ambrose and Jennie (Houchin) Tomlinson. I'm descended from a different branch of Tomlinson's, which is where I've been concentrating my research lately, but the ones in Crowley are related through marriage (and I feel sure, through blood, once I can ever make the connection).

Thanks for contacting me - your interest has ME interested in updating this branch further, so I'll be adding more information as I get it!!

Minnie Mae (Longstreth) Peters gravestone photo
May I have your permission to download the photos of the gravestone of Minnie Mae (Longstreth) Peters (Memorial# 18218414)?
I would like to upload them into my Ancestry family tree.
Thank you for your consideration.

RE: Lawrence Gilbert McCullough
Kristy,
I too only have knowledge of him through research of his aunt (his mothers sister) that married my dads cousin. I am not directly related therefore, no need to transfer. I will forward any new info. as available.

Thank You,
Jim Killough

Earl and John Kirkpatrick
I see you were helping Joyce Edgar Phipps with Earl's stone. I believe he was born between 1885 & 1900. The 1900 census shows Alex and Ollie lost a child before 1900 and they were married and had their first child in 1884. Other children were born in 1887 and 1894.
After Alex died in 1910, I believe Ollie took the girls and moved to Olkahoma.

If the John Kirkpatrick in question was John Franklin Kirkpatrick, he was my Great grandfather and I can help with him.

Thanks,
Brenda

RE: Ottman's edits
Yes, I'll take the memorials. They have a daughter and grandson buried in Memorial Gardens and a great-grandson buried in South Pointe. I would love to help get everyone all linked up.

My mother remembers Pearl and Johnie quite well. I vaguely remember them. But my mom will help me with info about everyone.

Thanks for getting them started! Johnie was my grand uncle.

RE: Ottman's edits
I believe the "IE" is because he went by Johnie. It seems a strange way to display it, but that was what it meant to me. What do you think?

RE: Earl Kirkpatrick
Finally, someone that thinks like I do. I really hate to see or make "empty" pages with no information. It takes me forever to look for information to add to their page but I will look until I have run out of places to look. One good thing about living in Texas is we have death certificates online from 1903 to 1981. That is what I love about Missouri...the death certificates are great. Most states will not give any information out. New Mexico and I went a few rounds several years ago. They will not give me my great aunts death certificate because I am not closely related. I told them her husband is dead and so are her children. There is no one to care one way or the other, NO ONE. I could have lied and told them she was my grandmother but I can not do that. I don't like people that are number crunchers. Why not take the time to do a good job of the page they are creating instead of trying to get their numbers higher. Well, I am venting.....

RE: Earl Kirkpatrick
BTW - great photo's on Earl's page. Really good. After looking at the photo's, I am wondering if there were any dates at all. He might have been an infant or very young child???
