Bio Photo Hi,

I am a retired veteran and genealogist. I work on Fort Knox so I have opportunities to visit some cemeteries on post and in Hardin County, KY.

If you would like to have a memorial transferred to you, please let me know by using the Edit tab and sending me a note.

RE: St. Clare Cem Colesburg
They probably don't have a stone or someone would have found their graves long ago. Please keep me in mind if you ever run across them. Thanks again for all your help.

Hi James,

Just want to confirm with you that I made the marriage Bio edits that you suggested to the Sim & Mary Pfieffer memorials and to thank you for providing the information.

Best Regards,

RE: George Pfeiffer
Hi Jamie,

Thank you for pointing out another Pfieffer in Mt Zion Cemetery as I will look need to look into it and determine the family relationship as I am sure there is a connection. So far Mt Zion Cemetery contains the largest concentration of my relatives than any other cemetery that I found to date - that is on my maternal side.

I bet you do miss the San Gabriel Mountains. Very nice... Ice Box Canyon at 60, now I envy you! Nothing like hiking in the mountains to make one feel both young and old at the same time! LOL

Best Regards,
Dan

RE: St. Clare Cem Colesburg
Thanks James, but I was told the cemetery I'm looking for is not St. Clare. I have a gg-grandmother and gg-aunt buried in St. Clare. The cemetery I'm looking for is a small cemetery next to the railroad. I found some Grays buried at Patterson Chapel, also, but Patrick and Mary Gray are not listed. Maybe they were too poor to have a stone. I suppose I'll never know where they are. Thanks again for your help, and all your hard work for Find A Grave.

RE: Sim and Mary Pfeiffer
Hi James,

Sorry for the delay in a reply as I wanted to do some research and confirm my relationship with George and have discovered he is in fact my 1st Cousin 2x removed which means he is the son of Sim & Mary Pfeiffer. I therefore would welcome the honor to maintain his memorial until such time as one of his direct descendants steps forward and makes a request in which I would pass that care to them.

Again I really appreciate all that you do to document and author memorials on Find A Grave!

Best Regards,
Dan

Colesburg Cemetey
Hi James, Have you heard of an old cemetery in Colesburg? I'm looking for my ggg-grandparents Patrick Lynch Gray and Mary Howlett Gray. Another Gray descendant told me she was told they are buried in an old cemetery next to the railroad tracks, but not Saint Clare. Thank you for any help you might give me. I've been looking for them for years. Dixie

RE: George Stovall, son of John Owen Stovall
Thanks for fixing the date. I don't feel comfortable just going around and edited other peoples hard work. I could always be wrong.
