I have loved recording my family history for about 40 years and teaching the last 15. |
My Children's PATERNAL: Byington, Carr, Molland, Holkins, Gallaway, Norton, Terry, Williams, Hall, Frisbie, Swetland, Butler, Donaldson, Piper, Little, Burdick, Munsee, Moore Also: Kofoed, Bell, Jensen, Munch, Christensen, Booth, Panting, Crook, Madsen, Larsen, Garwood, Davies, Kerby, Lane
My Children's MATERNAL: O'Bryan, Whitworth, Kochendarfer, Schluneger, Mize, Robinson, Hall, Copeland, Rogers, Philips, Baer, King, Pratz, Lebo, Nooner, Reynolds Also: Harper, Gowan, Smith, Putnam, Brock, King, Boniface, Pitcher, Spooner, Griffin, Brassell, Allen, Dolby, Robbins, Murray
Some of the memorials I manage are family, but it never hurts to ask to have a memorial transferred. Please include your relationship to the deceased when you make your request by using the EDIT button on the memorial you wish to have transferred. If you are related in any way it will probably be yours, unless it has been promised to another (or my family), in which case, the closest related person will get it. In my opinion, the Golden Rule trumps the guidelines, and hoarding is just stingy and small. I firmly believe family should be with family. Thanks for understanding.
Mistakes happen, I'm famous for finger errors and welcome any additions or corrections. When asking for a memorial correction, addition, or transfer, PLEASE use "Edit" then "Suggest A Correction" on the memorial you wish to have updated instead of posting message's on this page. Thanks
Most photos I add have been sent to me with permission from others over the last 40 years and will try to credit them when possible. If you find a photo that you claim as your property I will remove it at your request. My objective in adding photos is to honor these people and to aid fellow researchers with their genealogy, never for profit. You may use my personal photos as long as you give me credit and you are in no way profiting from them.
See this website for pointers for taking headstone photos.
I am very thankful for all the work those who create memorials have done on the behalf of others, like myself, so we may pay respect to our deceased family members, no matter how far.
I would also like to thank all of the wonderful volunteer photographers. You are doing a great service to digitally preserve these cemeteries, helping to preserve the memory of those that have gone before us.
"Thank you" seems such small words, considering the time, effort, and personal sacrifice that goes into making this great site.

I see you've posted a great deal of information on Redick O'Bryan (b. 1820 d. 1893) and I have a question I wanted to see if you could answer. His first wife was Mary Allie Bell but I've yet to find out anything more than her name. Do you happen to know her birth/death information or who her parents were?
I'm descended from their son William Fountain and the second William Fountain; my mother is an O'Bryan.
Thanks in advance!

|Donald West||Zerze M O'bryan|
My name is Don West, we met in Salt Lake Family History Library years ago. I started working on the O'bryans again.Find A Grave Memorial# 75058079. In family search I posted Zerze's Obituary in the Life Sketch,and Doctuments , it shows the cemetery where he was buried, Mount Pleasant cemetery. We probably need to meet again, but give me some time I am collecting pictures from relatives and adding sources to many O'bryan's.
Hi, the above is at least one of the photo requests you have in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA. If you would call the cemetery office and post the locations, we volunteers would be happy to fulfill it. Thank you!

Hmmm . . . that's interesting. Five seconds after I posted the photos, you thanked me - with yesterday's date and 6:11pm last night. Some people are fast - but you're ultra-quick! You're also very welcome; I'm happy to help.

|Janis Saylor||Mary Josephine Smith Potter|
Believe she is listed in Multnomah Park Cemetery under Mary Josephine Smith. Also, marker is photographed but not much info on it.
|Nancy Turney||o'bryans in fort smith, ar|
we are related BUT very distantly. their ancestor comes from the same area and I think might be a brother to something to our distant O'Bryan

I forgot to mention that if you need me to transfer, I have no issues.

I saw all of your photo requests at Calvary in Louisville. This is a massive cemetery so finding anyone without the plot location will be impossible. If you call the Catholic Cemeteries office at (502) 451-7710, they can give you the plot information. Send it to me and I'll look for them.
Luckily some cemetery lists explained some abbreviations. I've since seen an alternative, but it essentially means the same thing:
SSW="same stone with" or "shares stone with." And I think in some newer cemeteries where all the markers are flat bronze ones instead of actual stones you might find SMW (or s/m/w).

I see your request for a photo on findagrave for Westview Cemetery. I am familiar with that cemetery and would be happy to look for you. Would you please call the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out the section and lot numbers for your request? The office is reluctant to give me that information and in fact has threatened to charge me for it. They do however give it easily to relatives. The cemetery is massive and that section/lot information will help me narrow the search.
