Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Craig's Irish Settlement, the oldest settlement, church, and cemetery in Northampton County, PA. I started a restoration project on the abandoned cemetery and started a historical society, both with the help of the community. We are in our 8th year. We have identified the names on every tombstone. We have a list of people by rows and a list by alphabet. If you have family here at Horner's Cemetery and/or would like a tour, please contact us. We would love to talk with you.

My genealogical research includes the names: Arndt, Danner, Diehl, Gaumers, Huber, Kerns, Knauss, Mantz, Moser, Silfies, and Spengler.

They were the root to the family of Walkers that founded the Walker winery in Grimsby Township, Lincoln Co, Ontario, Canada William Walker his grandson. Who was Gr Gr Aunt Hannah Trotter Walkers grandfather in law. I'd love to touch base with you to see if what I have is correct and maybe collaborate with you on the rest. I have also been working on for the past month a Issac M Singers (The sewing machine inventor)children. His daughter Alice M Lagrove her son Eugene W La Grove wife's Iva L (Moore) La Grove sister Minnie A. (Moore) Walker by way of Issac singers Mother Ruth Benson Singer and her father Joel and after it does some twists and turns it ends up at Thomas Jefferson Walker Williams son Adams uncle.

This Walker branch starts with Francis Walker and Catherine Walker who came from England, United Kingdom both born about 1720 and died in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States on or about 1770 or later in the case of Catherine
they had 10 children. As you get closer to now or between 1900 to present. Their XX grandchildren were very heavy in Washington and there is a link with FDR'S right hand man and even the Hope diamond on part of the branches. Anyway if you know more about my Aunts family let me know.

Thank you - Nicholas Saeger
Hi Peggy,
Thank you so much for the transfer of Nicholas Saeger. I am very appreciative for the memorial and photo ! I read your bio and am impressed by the work that you and others have done in the abandoned cemetery. There are several cemeteries near me that are no longer managed and have now become badly overgrown and subject to vandalism. Many graves are missing markers or they are sold old that the engravings are virtually gone.
Its too big of a project for me to take on right now, but if I ever do tackle something like that, I will have to contact you for pointers and advice. Thank you for all that you are doing to ensure our ancestors are located and documented !

God's blessings to you!

Christiana Walker
Christiana was my 5X great grandmother. When she came over from Ireland with husband John, Johns mother, I think her name was Janet Thomson, 1665-1738, who was blind, died along with children Robert and Andrew, and were buried at sea. John and Christiana had Margaret, John and William left and made it to North Hampton County, PA. Eventually they moved to Bucks County, PA. They lived there for many year till their deaths. John and Christiana died and were buried there.
Just a bit of info I wanted to share. Not sure where John is buried. Haven't looked for him yet.

Thanks,
Larry J. McNair

Michael Clyde Memorial
Hi Peggy,
Thank you so much for working on the Presybterian Cemetery! Thank you for posting a memorial for my 6th great grandfather Michael Clyde. I believe other members of the family, including some Hudders are also buried there.

I used your information with link in a short piece I did for St Patrick's Day on my blog. The URL is http://wp.me/p1KdEb-hO.

Thank you again for all of your hard work.

Sincerely Julia McCartney Hogston
