Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love family history, so of course I ended up here trying to find, memorialize, and connect my own family members, and also to help others in any way that I can. I am a disabled non-driver, so my ability to contribute is limited but heartfelt. Any memorial in my management that is a closer relative to someone other than myself will be happily transferred if requested. I am also happy to share all photos and other information I have added to these memorials.

~Dear Ancestor~

Your Tombstone stands among the rest
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care.
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I'd exist.
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago,
spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved.
I wonder if you knew,
that someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

I believe I found his parents in Colorado. Please verify this and let me know if this is not correct.

I received your correction and I need some clarification regarding what needs to be changed or removed. You had included parents names, place and date of birth, etc. in the original update in September of 2013.

What information should be retained and what information should be removed?

Thank you for your help!

Norman Johnson #141063117
I appreciate the information you sent regarding Norman Johnson, but my information was taken from the mortuary records. It lists his date of birth as 8-13-1895; birthplace Kentucky; spouse, Chloe (deceased); Father, Velora Johnson; Mother, Elizateh (Ayers); Daughter, Margaret Pittenger. Your Norman Johnson has a birth date of 1917 in Indiana. If you can find a date of death for him and he died in Delaware County, IN, I would be happy to look up his obituary at our local genealogy center for you.

RE: John and Emma Kelsay and son William
thanks----if you want to that will be okay. I have a photo of John, but none of Emma. Have copies of letters his son Solomon wrote to his parents and to his aunt Permelia who was wife of John's brother George (my direct ancestors)when Solomon was a young soldier in the Civil War...unfortunately he got sick and died young.
