I was born and brought up in Wales but now live in Lincoln England. I started genealogy in 2002 and now have my family back to 18c. I stumbled across this site whilst tracing American relatives and found lots of help and information.|
Through the findagrave forum I'm involved in projects to leave flowers on all memorials that don't currently have any, please don't assume I'm a relative because I left a flower or sponsored a memorial and please don't transfer without asking.

|J B||RE: Sir Donald Sinden|
I didn't know this, but it is ridiculous. Sir Donald was one of the great theatrical Knights and was very famous indeed. When I saw that I had a message from Find A Grave I thought it might have been from their management saying that it was unnecessary to sponsor Sir Donald's record, and that a mistake had been made. Anyway, it is an honour for me to sponsor him so I am very happy to do it.
Thanks very much for your message, Daff, it was very nice to hear from you.

|Ian Macaulay||thank you|
Thank you for the info on the macaulay grave or lack thereof. I don't really understand nor approve of the leave a flower bit, but What the heck.
I drop flowers on my family tree. If I don't see a flower I know I have not accounted for that person. If you drop a flower I might miss it.
All water so to speak.
Its jewish tradition to drop a rock on the tombstone of those you visited. It would be rude and unacceptable to get a handful of stones and just drop them on each grave you walked by.
Not complaining just saying. This site and the people that make it what it is are just super. Each to their own methods.
I am really grateful for this help,
Thanks for spotting this. I must be losing my marbles!!
Thanks so much for pointing out the date! It should be correct now. :)

Thank You for bring this to my attention. I had lots of data to enter from my visit to St Giles in Bowes and created memorials from transcriptions that I had taken and also from my photos I did this on different days creating the problem. I have moved the photos and deleted the duplicates. Also found Alice and gave her last name.

Do you have any further information about this person - he may be my uncle. If so then date of birth was 1934, which fits with your date of death information. His 1st wife was Rachel (nee Michaels). Brother of Norman (my father), Florence, Horace, Edwin, Frederick and Margery. Any way of confirming he is the Gordon I think he is?
Thank you so much for leaving the first birthday flower today. I've been a tad busy with Doctor appointments and grocery shopping. Your many kindnesses are appreciated.

Daff, Saw your memorial. Didn't take long for Find A Grave to take it over.
