I live in the Central Coast area of California, and have fairly recently taken up some of the genealogy research for the family, which my mom had a passion for until she was no longer capable of continuing the task - the baton has passed to me I think. I work full time so don't always have the time I'd like to be able to devote on ancestry.com and findagrave.com. However, the assistance and information provided from fellow members on this site has been immeasurable, and I've already told my family that when I retire, they'll likely find me traipsing through cemeteries, taking photos for the F.A.G. folks! I am happy to share the meager information I do have with anyone who may be interested.|

|Saundra Curry||John Bufkin Dooley|
Hi Lisa, I have a question about your source for the caption of the photo of John Bufkin Dooley and family:
"The sign says "The Huntress and the New Maid", is of (l-r) John Dooley, Sarah Morris Dooley (the huntress), Lilla Dooley Seavey, and apparently the new maid, along with a hapless looking donkey & a freshly shot buck"
Does the photo imply that Sarah Morris Dooley is John's wife? I believe his wife is Sarah Bowel and am wondering which is correct. I would appreciate your source for the people in the photo.
Thanks so much for volunteering! It is really helpful for creating our family's story.
Hi ~ I have added photos of Grace Seavey's grave. Grace has been in an unmarked grave all this time, however recently friends of the cemetery have put in a marker and she is remembered by all those who attend the monthly cemetery tours. Her tragic story is often told and she is part of the history of Woodville and the early settlers.
The cemetery is beautifully kept and you will see her plot is very tidy.
Best regards. W

Hi, I can get you a photo of the headstone of Grace Isadore THORNHILL SEAVEY. This lovely cemetery is not far from me, I will post the photo in the next few days. W

thanks for your message today
It is truly a remarkable 'life story'. One wonders how he found time to do all the things he did!! He certainly got to see the world etc
I will start searching this side of the world and hopefully may find some photos (although the ones you have posted are wonderful) and anything else, verifying marriages etc, although that is doubtful
Will let you know if I come across anything

You're right about the Elmer Martin Fly in Los Alamos.
Here's the source of the original erroneous info:

Would you allow me to use the pic from Find A Grave for family research (with credit, of course)? Gail

I think O found Martins headstone, but I thought his second wife was Mary Elizabeth Ballagh and the stone shows Mary A. Is this the correct headstone? Gail
I'm related through Lisa Lynn Fly, who married my brother Lee Lyons. They live in San Bernardino.
