Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

He is buried at Sierra Hills Memorial Park, Sacramento, CA (in the Garden of Honor). I tried to add a photo of his plaque but the limit has been reached on photos.
|Jerry Eby||RE: Thank you!|
You are very welcome. I'm glad I could help.
|Melanie Mann||Sidle memorial Ashville Cemetery|
Hello Rosemary, I transferred the memorial I had created when I photographed the cemetery. I see that the duplicate is one done by Bonnie Meyers. Bonnie has done many, manynin this area. Imam sure if you contact her, she will delete the duplicate so youbas a family tie can manage the memorial.
|Barbara Lee (Sidle) Baldwin||Grandmother Cole|
We need to get Grandmommy's headstone finished. There is no date of death, after all these years! This is only way I know how to contact you.

Thank you for your posting and memorial. Do you have any info on his parents by chance? I am tracing the Martin Elmer line. Any help would be appreciated.

Nice to meet you too. I received your message and was going to write to later and forgot.. Sorry
Can you clear something up for me? I've never seen the name Feyereisen before. Where did you see it? I cannot connect that name to the Farrison/Farison's. Thanks so much :)

It was my pleasure and honor to post those photos. Sorry to hear of you loosing your father in law recently.
|Kurt Ramsey||George F. Ramsey|
My name is Kurt Ramsey. George F. Ramsey is my ggg-grandfather. We have that George was born on July 4, 1855. Was wondering how you and we have different dates of birth for "George from Antrim."
He IS buried in the Grove UP cemetery in W. Middletown, PA. His son, David McCoggins is buried right next to him, (that is my line). My wife and I have been there.

Thank you for sending me a note about your husband. I'm so sorry in your loss at far too early an age. I am honored to have known and served with your husband in VP-48. Though I knew him @ AIMD avionics he was later my AV/ARM Div Chief @ VP-48. I shall always remember and appreciate how he went to bat for me with the detailer, in 1982, trying to get me the orders I wished. He was the acting command senior chief by then. Alas the detailer refused but for lack of your husband trying to take care of his men. He was a chief petty officer to emulate and respect.
I learned of his death via the VP-48 webpage. I had wished to contact him to say hi and thanks.

Thanks for commenting on the Harpers. I uploaded over 2000 people in a short amount of time, and I didn't bother doing the family relationships because it takes twice the time.
Abraham is my husband's ancestor, but he descends from daughter Sarah.
