Bio Photo I had a dream the other night a delivery truck pulled up to the house and was unloading some huge boxes and crates, four in all. I am watching as they are being loaded into the house and then I saw PARR Cemetery stamped on the side of one of the crates. My friend John Jackson was just about to open it and I screamed "Don't open it"... and I woke up!

I was born in Ottumwa, Iowa raised in Munterville, Iowa then moving to Blakesburg, Iowa and on to Muscatine, Iowa. Find a Grave has helped me bring my family who lived before me together. My Great Aunt Dr. Stella Pearson, D.O. (Aunt Teddy) enjoyed going to the cemetery to clean up, decorate, and tell me the stories about each family member we visited. I have found so many of my family because of our early trips to the cemetery. I just wished I had taken notes when she was telling the stories of family history. I put in a request for a picture of my father's grave over three and a half years ago and no one ever bothered to take a photo for me. Four hundred miles later I had his picture and many more. Today my passion is to fill as many photo requests as I possibly can for those who need that last family photograph. I am getting good at finding a grave and the walks are wonderful!

I have entered several cemetery records from online sources on snow or rain days so if I have any of your family no matter the relationship I will transfer just ask me and I will make it happen. Please provide your contributor number.

If you want multiple monuments photographed, please take the time to create a memorial for each person rather than attach a message to one request asking for multiple photos.

Family First,
Christine Masterson & John Jackson

RE: Lida K. Flowers Long
The secret is to just act like you own the place...I don't know if you can tell from the photos but she is in a magnificent marble sarcophagus set into the wall of the mausoleum. No sign of her husband nearby.

Karen Severance
Thank you for the pictures and the info you sent via email. My husband was surprised that there were as many Severances in Davenport back in the day. As his Dad is an only child, he thought it was just his grandma and grandpa. Little did he know there was a larger family there for generations. Thanks for your volunteering for FindAGrave.

RE: Joseph R. Hoggs
Glad I was able to find the headstone. Records said there wasn't any. Guess they didnt update it. Sorry, grass and mud were over many of the markers in that section. Lillian's DOB is Nov 21 1935 (no date of death). There is no maiden name on the form. I will try to return to the cemetery this week and look for the others (unless someone else helps you first).

Birdie Fritz

I was able to do some research and help you out with your search for Birdie Fritz. She is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. I have just created a memorial page for her and I will upload the picture of her stone momentarily. The reason that you were unable to find any information on her after 1900 is because she passed away in July of 1900. I was able to find a newspaper article speaking of her internment in Oakland Cemetery and also one that spoke of Mr. Lane traveling home to attend the unexpected death of his niece. This articles were found on the online newspaper database that our historical society has published. You may my want to use it for future research:

Also, there was another on the same stone as Birdie. A Hazel L. Fritz (1893-1904).

Hope this helps.

He's all yours. Please let me know if you would like to manage any of the other Turleys. I am not related.
