Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Gadsden, Alabama, in 1981. I currently live in Bettendorf, Iowa, with my wife, two kids, three rodents, five guppies, and one cory catfish. I'm an amateur actor, and sometimes professional theatre technician. I'm an organizer and writer/director for a semi-regular living history event in local historic cemetery Oakdale Memorial Gardens. I am also in the process of nominating Oakdale to the National Register of Historic Places.

I'm also a genealogy buff, researching the following families:
Crow/Crowe, Couch, Oliver, West, Fenn/Fann, Humphries, Fleming, Scott, Petree/Petri, Mayer, Zimmerman, Smith, Sevier/Xavier Goode/Good/Goad, Ray, Henry, and McKeme (?) in the Southeast U.S. (AL, TN, NC, GA, VA, SC, AR) New England (PA, MA), England, France, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, and Spain.
Hatton, Doyle, Green, Fritsch, and Thomas in the Midwest (MO, IL, KY), Virginia, Ireland, and Germany.

I am also willing to do limited genealogical research in Scott County, Iowa. E-mail me for info.

Love My Ancestors
Sarah Elrod # 7448588
I had requested back in April through the "Edit" tab for Sarah to be transferred to me if you weren't related, and I never did hear from you. If you are not related, would you mind if I had her memorial. She is my great-great grandfathers sister. Thank you.

re photo request
I understand your opinion, but since I was the one that request the photo, didn't think it would be a problem.

I appreciate that you initially added a photo of Capt. James McBurney Find A Grave # 126948212 and his wife Julia Campbell McBurney Find A Grave # 145392098. The head stone was over grown with a bush, I cleared the bush and added a photo . Would you mind removing the photo of the over grown head stone you added to both? I would appreciate it.

Thanks Tom Jackson # 47420323

Great newspaper article on you. Quad-City Times Sunday June 14??

Wish they'd done more on the application process and what you had to do to get Oakdale Memorial Gardens into the National Register of Historic Places.

I know you put a lot of time into this designation.

And I salute Deb, the office mgr. and board member, for supporting and helping you.
Thank you.

Von Maur in Davenport
I am researching Von Maur in Davenport, specifically George Karl Von Maur, son of Henry W and Dorothy Vollmer Von Maur. Your photograph of the marker for Henry seems to show George just beneath his father. At least, I can make out his wife's marker, Marie Antoinette Sollo, d. 1991, just beside where I think George is interred. Would it be possible to examine your records to see what the marker says, ... and/or enter the record for his burial in Findagrave? Thanks.
