I am a Mother of five, a third order Franciscan Sister, and a retired science teacher living in Ludington, Mason County, Michigan. |
I transcribe and clip old newspaper death notices from the Ludington Daily News archives and Photograph the graves at local cemeteries. I am creating a digital file of these for the local library and am adding them on this site for your personal - family use, feel free to copy my work for that purpose.
Hope it helps.

Hi did you still need me to transfer this memorial? Who do I send it over to?
|Bobbie S||Ruth Stewart|
In the late 1970s I inherited a box of old photos of my mother's family. One of items I was particularly drawn to was a memmorium of a small child, Ruth Stewart, who died in 1905 in Mason county. Over the years I got more & more interested in geneology & putting the puzzle pieces of my family together.
Thank you for the newspaper clippings of her death.

Thank you for posting the obits for Gertrude Allen. I had looked for them,but never found them. It was a good surprise to see them there. Gertrude is my great aunt.

Good morning, I cannot remember where the Parkers are in the cemetery and will not be in MI again until later this summer to check for you. BUT it could be in the section where headstones are missing so very likely Benjamin is near his son ( my great grandmothers was one missing and I later found it moved to the fence row). Beautiful cemetery and well kept now. I will try to check for you next time in MI. I did take pictures of all graves in oldest section. RLE

Have you checked the wood county historical society ? http://www.wcogs.org/. They have a cemetery search on their website. My other thought is that usually on the death certificate it lists what cemetery the person is. Or the obituary. The Rutherford B Hayes Center has a good search engine for NW ohio obits. http://index.rbhayes.org/hayes/index/
