In late August of this year, I had a stroke, and more recently issues have been found with my heart, it's looking like most of the health issues are behind me though and i will soon be back out, just in time for the Florida summer. Winter of course is the prime time here for getting out to photograph, the summers are so hot and the shadows so harsh, and the grass grows to fast for the ground crews to do much other than cut it, and leave it piled on the headstone. |
We discovered Find a Grave while doing research on our family trees. From there has grown an interest in recording cemeteries for others to use. We are willing to transfer the memorials of people who are not related to us, to anyone who has a connection with the person, whether within guidelines or not. Don't hesitate to ask.
Feel free to use any of our monument photos any way that you want to, as few (if any) of them have any artistic and/or commercial value which might be covered by the intent of the Copyright clause in the Constitution. (Please note, however, that this only applies to photos with our name under them. For any others, you will need to contact the person who added them for their permission to copy and use elsewhere.). The above was borrowed with a few edits, from RobMinteer57 (#47389024)
Our family tree includes the following surnames, Read, Clark, Nelson, Fletcher, Forshee, Shirley, Diederich, and Bohl.
We live in Palm Beach county, Florida. Currently we are focused on Pinecrest cemetery in Lake Worth. If you would like a different photo on a memorial we created in Pinecrest, let us know. Less time is spent on photos taken while mowing the rows to document the cemetery, than is spent on photos to fulfill specific requests. We can go back and do a request quality photo for a memorial you are interested in if you would like.
"Show me the manner in which a nation cares for its dead, and I will measure with mathematical exactness, the tender mercies of its people, their loyalty to high ideals, and their regard for the laws of the land."- Eighteenth-century British statesman William Gladstone

Thanks so much for the photo of the picture on Uncle Les's memorial.
I noticed that the memorial has a line I have never seen before, Transcribed by. Could you tell me what the Transcribed by means?

Thanks so much for getting me a recent photo of his marker. I was wondering if you think it is the same one that I have in the black and white photo. Janet

Hi Dan & Karen!
I don't know if you are interested in posting obituaries to the memorials that you have but I search out and transcribe ones I find then send them off to the creator when there is an established memorial... if you prefer I not send them to you just let me know and I will stop. If you wish to copy my transcription (BELOW) and post you may do so. I know the value of an obit... small bits of info can open a door.
Thank you for consider this! I hope you are progressing well with the Post-Stroke therapy! I know it is a challenge!
Here's to Happy Stone Hunting SOON!

Dan & Karen:
I accept the management of the memorial that you created and am now working on an email to Mary K. Ward who created the second memorial. I am asking Mary to cooperate in merging the two, her's into the one that you created while maintaining all of the original credits. Thank you for your help. John Werner
