I would like to kindly ask those good contributors adding death certificates, etc on my memorials as photos to please stop and I would also like to ask for ones already added to my memorials to be removed. Sure, some have good vital info, but some also contain things not always suitable to put on F-A-G. Please respect my wishes as I respect your memorials. I will be glad to add any info that is vital to the person and you can send edits for most of it, thank you all in advance, Larry.

Currently working on photographing Highland Burial Park, Danville, its a biggy. When time permits, I also photograph cemeteries in Franklin County, Va, Callands, Chatham and Museville area of Pittsylvania County, and some Patrick & Henry County, Va areas.

The one thing I take pride in is that close to 99% of all my memorials are ones that I have personally been to the gravesite & have photographed the memorial myself, there is no guess work, eliminates anyone put in the wrong cemetery, I know for a fact they are there.

I also have been asked several times by other contributors if they could use my pics on their and personal sites. Yes, feel free to do so. I am glad I can fill holes in some unfilled spaces.
I do ask not to use my pics on f-a-g without permission, which has been done a several times. I will say yes, but give me the courtesy of asking, thanks.

RE: Highland cemetery Records
Larry, Congrats on photographing entire cemetery.
So sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. That period of 2001 sounds about right. Unless no cemetery was listed in obit. My son was attending Averett and playing Baseball. I subscribed to the
Register & Bee for awhile and later decided to enter obits on Find A Grave. I don't know any of the people I entered and none are kin to me. If you want I can transfer them all to you to maintain. Let me know. Sandra

RE: Louise Semones
Hey Larry,

Miss Semones was my wonderful, first and second grade teacher in 1944-45, at old R.E. Lee School on Loyal Street, Danville.

Thanks Larry,

Thank you so much for your condolences and for the transfers. This site has really helped me stay focused during such a bad time in my life. I really appreciate all the time and work you have put in to make this site such a success.

RE: Eanes Cemetery
Hey Larry, it must have been someone else that asked about the Eanes cemetery. It wasn't me.

RE: Thomas Jefferson Chitwood
Thanks for the heads up on cemeteries...I just took 171 pictures yesterday and was able to use 100 of them...I enjoy what I do, but of course, just like you, would hope to be able to use all of them...

I like to think all the walking I do is free and I don't have to go to a gym ;-) so I look on the positive side of life.

I know we cross paths a lot on the areas we photograph. My family line is Moran, so Floyd,Franklin, and Patrick is where I concentrate on the most...many snakes in Floyd... I was very glad when I found Moran's in Salem,Va. in a nice town cemetery...much safer!

Have a Blessed Day...

RE: Thomas helms
he is my 3rd great grandfather. the obit was written reflective of the time. if you would like to transfer him to me, i will be happy to take good care of him. i don't like the obit either but it records his life. he was one of the wealthiest men in the area. he started with nothing. many people would like the info. do not think of what you would like, think of what is best for the deceased. i try to look at it that way. also i am more into genealogy than you, so that "useless" info is most interesting to me.

Transfer Memorial
Hi Larry -

I would like to ask if you could transfer my grandparents memorials to me. They are Eugene Shockley #77182525 and Iva Shockley #77182680. I did add a photo for my grandma. Thank you so much for all the work you have done on their memorials.
