PLEASE use the edit tabs for corrections, I have deleted my e-mail.

I enjoy helping others out. As well as working on my family history. If I can help in my area let me know. I will try to help get your photo and or obituary, if possible.

However, after going out of my way to get pictures and the such, I would appreciate it if Marcia would stop trolling the findagrave site and nit picking at my and "other" contributors work, effort and help. We are all adults, or so should be.

I am human and do make mistakes, just like the rest of us. (Whether some want to admit it or not is still out for debate. LOL)

If you find a problem, please be kind when asking for corrections to be made. Don't ASSUME that all the information on the memorial was made by me. You know the saying "DON'T ASS UME-it'll make an ass out of you!" LOL Most would agree that a polite contact is the best kind of contact.

In the event you find memorials that need to be linked. Please provide proof that it is husband and wife buried together. I've gotten wrong information. What a headache that was. So please provide proof. Thanks!!

Currently I am inputting information from cemetery books. I am not trying to have a bunch of memorials under my number WHO CARES???
What I care for is to list the forgotten, that didn't have a headstone or the headstone is missing for whatever reason. For those that are searching for loved ones. Not knowing where in the "county" they are resting. Since inputting the cemetery book info. I have had several people contact me because I had solved mysteries where their relatives are buried at. That has been rewarding. It trumps the "negative" ones.
So fellow findagravers, the cemetery entries are a great source for information, if you can't get out to cemeteries, entering from the cemetery books would be greatly appreciated.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY LEAF
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Dear Ancestor
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, In blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this sport,
And come to visit you.
