I live in Michigan and have researched my husbands as well as my family from here. Many branches have taken me country wide and also to England and Germany. Just a few of family names are: Dudley,Esch,Gardner,Hayes, Snider,McEuen,Richards,Williams,Hays,Oliver,Rhodus,Morgan,Rieger,Davidson, Downey,DuMinske,O'Day,Karschnick,Sorgenfrei,Peltz,Schmekel,Beyerchen, and Doench just to name a few. I have been seriously researching for the past 10 years but have always been interested in family.

RE: Henry McEven
I did not see a headstone for his parents. Unfortunately, the cemetery is badly overgrown with tumbleweeds and I could not access some areas. I am hoping, next time I make the trip, it will be more cleared out and I can search easier.

RE: Henry McEven
I will look again next time I head over the mountain. Honestly, this cemetery is approx 3.5 hours away and I happened upon it while on a road trip. I do get over there about 3 or 4 times a year and will put the McEuens on my list of lookers.
I attached the photo to the memorial. The stone is in a place where there is very loose sand. and the bottom and base have sunken considerably. I did try to expose what I could with out possibly causing damage to the stone. I fear, if it isn't raised properly, it will soon be lost in the earth. Maybe you can contact a local funeral home for repair?

Hi, Claudia!

With the information you gave me, I was able to locate Melburn McEuen's marker in Pacific View Memorial Park here in Newport Beach. I also found the two sons---Ronald & Stanley. There is a plot between Melbourne and the two boys, but there is no stone there. She just must be between her husband and her children, but as I said, there is no stone marker.

I guess you could call Pacific View to check it out for sure. The 3 other headstones are in the Vista Del Mar section, plots 521 C, D is the plot with no stone, then the boys are in E & F. Let me know if you find any more information and I'll be glad to go back.

Best wishes,
Joan Frahm Allen

McEuen photos in Oaklawn Cemetery
I added a group picture of 4 McEuen family members and an individual picture of each. These appear to be mother, father and 2 children. If this is correct, please submit Edit Request so I can link them as family. Or, just send me an email with their family connection to each other. My email is I'm happy to help. Scott

Photo for John McEuen
Well as you can see I went ahead and added the photo. But, the exclamation about the photo doesn't show up unless you click on the photo. I was hoping it would appear right under the picture but no. So if you know how to make do that then please correct it. Thank you and please realize I am not very good at this but still enjoy it.

Adding photos
I am in the process of adding photos for Iola and John McEuen per a request. I see there is another grave site with the others named Jimmi McEuen. Was she left off for a reason and if not would you like me to add her? Seems like it is the mother.

Claudia, I posted his headstone photo and noticed it is misspelled. If you are related you can call the cemetery and they will correct it. James
