Cemeteries are "a memorial and a record. (They are) not a mere field in which the dead are stowed away unknown; it is a touching and beautiful history, written in family burial plots, in mounded graves, in sculptured and inscribed monuments. (They tell) the story of the past, not of its institutions, or its wars, or its ideas, but of its individual lives,--of its men and women and children, and of its household. (A cemetery) is silent, but eloquent; it is common, but it is unique. We find no such history elsewhere; there are no records in all the wide world in which we can discover so much that is suggestive, so much that is pathetic and impressive." ~~ Joseph Anderson, American clergyman (1836-1916) |

Hope you are feeling better. John M Land put the pictures of the general area where their graves are on their memorials for me. He said he couldn't find them but according to the book, they were in the same area as Tol's brother, James Crawford. He thinks they are in one of the two sets of unmarked graves around James.

Charles C. Heaton 52154415 and Charles Clinton Heaton 80694225 is the same person with wife Sarah Turner, dtr. Elizabeth and son Lloyd. There is some duplication among the records.

Hello, I found your FindAGrave submission for Thomas Farmer, #74240011, through Ancestry.com. There is no cemetery listed for him in Robertson County, Tennessee. I am more interested in the information that is posted for him; his parents and siblings. Are you related to him? Would you mind sending me the source of your information? Thank you so much! Linda Farmer Hollen, Beavercreek, Ohio

This is an extra entry for Charles C. Heaton.
The other one has more information - 80694225
with wife Sarah and dtr. Elizabeth May Heaton.
Maybe you can delete or combine them.

Did you make these memorials from seeing their actual headstones, a cemetery burial list, or obituaries? I made a photo request for their headstones, and the guy couldn't find the graves. Said they were in the old cemetery. Was wondering if you remembered where they actually were if you saw them. Thank you!
